I know exactly what you are saying. We are 9-2, which for 98% of the teams in this state would be incredible. In Gilmer that's not good enough. Probably not in WOS either...........but as I have gotten older and tried to get wiser............I have tried very hard to enjoy it for what it is, as long as it lasts. Winning Championships is freaking hard, and I applaud everyone who does it. Those who do it multiple years in a row are truly special. Be thankful that your kids compete year in and year out like ours do. It's a pride thing in the community and I understand that. But for the fans the most important thing is to "enjoy the ride" as far as it takes you. Some years it takes you to the ocean, you get to feel the sand between your toes and the sun shines bright. Sometimes you run in the ditch. Every group is different......... enjoy them for what they are. I'm thru preaching now.

If I am not at ATT on Dec 20 watching UH, I will be stunned.

Just an outsider reading the thread.........but there seems to be a lot of discontent among some of the WOS faithful. I actually find that very interesting. The reason I say that is what I saw in my hometown was the same thing. The more we won........the more it was no longer good enough. I was always on that win and advance thought. Many in Gilmer think if we ain't winning by 60 the sky is falling. Just my thoughts for what they are worth.......and that's usually not much.

The Hill is very good. I have seen them play. I'm not terribly familiar with 6 man........but they have 3 kids that need to be playing about 6 miles south. Hopefully if they play on a Wednesday night in December........I will be there to watch.

Went to this one. My first 6-man game. I was learning on the fly, but it's an exciting game. Union Hill and High Island have some history from late 70's early 80's when they were 11 man. The Hill has a very good team.

Exactly. This is the same thing I said when we played Carthage. Should be a heck of a matchup. I'm still trying to figure out if I can get there or not. Good luck to both.

Friday or Saturday and time?

I actually have the High Island/Union Hill game marked on my calendar for Saturday Oct.21st. It will be my first game.

This is stupid in region II. Spring Hill got a first place vote. There is not a team on the list they could beat, even in the "others receiving votes" category. They will go 5-0 in non-district and then 0-5 in district.

Wherever he goes......they will be dang glad to get him. In college he will have to put on some weight........but as my bird dog trainer told me yesterday. She's light on her feet, that's a really good trait. Keontay is certainly light on his feet. That kid is a little different and a cut above.

Yes the did. 2 pick 6 and a fumble scoop. Defense played not to bad against a very stout Carthage offense. Ingram is an absolute stud. If it winds up being Argyle and Carthage in the final.......it will certainly be worth the price of admission

Ha. We went down like a one egg pudding in the second half. Started pressing and bad things started happening. Very happy with our first half play. Had a chance to put them away and didn't. They made us pay in the second half.

The Union Hill/Strawn game has been cancelled according to UH website.

I think as of now, what I saw last night, was at this time neither were going to pursue legal action.

Whomever keeps giving us that 1 first place ........... Well they ain't watching what I'm watching.

Lol. Last night that was the mantra for sure........but I saw a few bright spot and we adjusted pretty well at the half. I think we will continue to improve on defense, but as I said, LE is certainly no slouch. They have athletes ALL over the field. As for the Buckeyes, hopefully we will continue to move kids around and figure it out. More importantly, hopefully some of y'all get dried out and get back to some normalcy. Really hate so many have it so bad right now. It's just a terrible situation for all. God Bless
