Fair enough, I just feel what Foster has done at Big Sandy is more impressive. Nothing against Davis he is a good coach, and will have a very successful career at Hj, no doubt!!

I agree with both points.

Clay Davis over Kevin Foster at Big Sandy? I just don't know if Davis can be put into this category yet. He has only had a program for one year, and it was a top notch program when given to him.

I agree Whitmire is an underrated coach, I would go so far to say the most underrated in this area.

I watched a lot of basketball from around the state, and I've seen some "power houses" from other areas, that would love to have one of the many outstanding coaches from the SETX area! Watched a game last night that the team that loss, should have never loss the game. Their team was much more athletic and had more skill, but their lack of discipline and coaching cost them the game. The others team did what was asked of them, and really didn't run a very good system, but they run their system to the best of their ability. All around SETX has some top-notch coaching, and that is why we send multiple teams from this area to stay on a regular basis!

I've never even heard of the kid, but I'm sure he does have some talent. I was just bringing some humor to the topic. Good luck to him and CS the rest of the season!

The fact you can't see his answer is very telling...Saveat was give a program that was already built with talent galore. English has built his program from the ground up, and when I say ground I don't mean junior high, I mean little league. I don't believe Saveat could have had the success at Nederland, that English has had.

If I was given a team and said you can pick either Saveat or English to coach them, I would pick English. JMO as far as coaching I believe English is better, but I've also seen him more. Nothing against Saveat what he and Ozen has accomplished is great, they have built a power-house, and they win at every level of play!

The Harrison twins do not have the attitude problems Boyd has. I was not at the game tonight, but I saw how he conducted himself last year at the State Tournament, and I was very disappointed. Their is a difference between showing emotion towards everything, and disrespect towards your team and coaches!

IMO I think Foster, English, and Sutherland are the best in the area! Doesn't matter the talent their team has they always end up being competitive!

I agree, I've seen both kids play and both have terrible attitudes. It's sad because these two kids are very talented individuals!

I agree. These Big Sandy kids know how to play basketball, and have skill to go along with it. Remember this team beat Nederland who IMO will win one possibly two playoff games depending on match-ups in the Area Round...these kids can play.

I do know what I said, that's why I said IMO. Notice I didn't say 3 D1 players, I said next level, meaning college. I referenced D2, but next level is also referencing to any level of college basketball, other than rec league lol which I'm sure they wouldn't have a problem finding one to play on
