    I hear wdv ISD will build new baseball and softball facilities and also resurface the football  field with a artificial surface. This could be the start of something great for the kids and their athletic dreams. Someone is taking the athletic program serious. I hope this is just the beginning of many great things to come. The kids will be excited. As a parent and someone who loves sports, I also say Thank you.

     

    Why would they need to build new baseball and softball facilities?  If I am correct, they have some of the best facilities for those two sports around the area.  I would agree that laying turf down for the football field would be an upgrade, just not sure what you would want for baseball and softball that would need upgrade.

    The guy is 29 years old.  I'm not sure if it matters to all, but it would matter to me.  What do yall think?  Not saying he isn't the best guy for the job, but i would find it hard to believe even if he has 3 state championships that he had all the knowledge it take to be succesful.

    Absolutely. If Morgan wants the job, we need to hire him. 3 straight State Championships. He has followed Bickham before so he knows what he is getting into. And from everything I have heard he is a great motivator whose defenses have gotten better as the year went on. This is the guy we need to hire.

    You guys would be lucky to get a quality coach like fitzhenry.  You want tough, hard nosed football.  You want someone to go in and take care of buisiness and get the program back to where it should be, then he is your man.  Guy has great creds and is a proven winner.  Better get him fast because he will get other offers very soon.

    I'm hearing that we may have a home & home series, with the sites being Vincent Beck & Olsen Field in College Station.  I think there might be quite a few Dog fans making the trip to Lamar.

    Will not be at olsen field,  Brenham is not even in the top 3 on the list for the stadium.  Unless, they change up the sched.  That would mean playing at odd times?

    Ya thank? BC would have beaten them if regular game. WAY OVERRATED.

    You know,   I'm not trying to stir up a hornets nest but,  Some of you people need to realize that there are great teams outside of this little region that you call home.  Lets stop making excuses for BC for not beating a team in the warm up game because it didn't COUNT.  Cuero is a good team and maybe it's time to realize that BC might not be that good.  Cuero got beat by a good team in Bellville.  I think it's just time that some of you guys need to realize that baseball and football isn't just played in that little area of Texas.  JUST My 2cents

    Yes, I have seen them play this year.  Even if I hadn't, I'm sure I  could take everyones word for it on how good they are.

    I just found 2 cents on my desk so I guess I will throw mine in too. I was fortunate to call the 3A Semi's and Final at State last year. I can say that those  4 teams are just like the good 3A teams I have seen this year. I think there are a number of very good teams that with the right breaks can go all the way. Around here we only look at region 3 and 4. The two finalist from last year were Region's 1&2. Matchups, teams staying focused, and a little bit of luck will determine who the winner of the big prize is.

    I was you for a long time.  Coached in the area when I started out.  Since I have left, I have played Region 3 several times and won some and lost some.  I will tell you this.  IF BC makes is out of region 3, They will have to play someone like Giddings or Bellville in the tourny.  I don't think that they will get past either of those teams.
