  1. No, the problem is all of the these "conservatives" who think Donald Trump was good for the economy. He gave huge tax cuts to the wealthy and exploded our debt... How else can you justify an explosion of debt that occurred on his watch, prior to and during the pandemic? He was a DISASTER.
  2. Well, what does General McMasters (US Army) have to say on the subject? [Hidden Content]
  3. lol… so it tanked in ‘20 because it knew Trump was gonna get cheated out of his win? Massive debts arent good for the economy. The market is doing well because they know that the country will be in good hands as it appears that Harris will win. Trump was an economic disaster.
  4. Stocks closed at another all-time high yesterday… anybody with a retirement account owes about 30% of the balance to the strong leadership in Washington over the last four years Vote Trump if you want your 401k wiped out like it happened the last time we elected Trump.
  5. He’d better. He’s the one that abandoned those boys over there for four years until Biden brought them home.
  6. It just keeps getting worse… Trump backed out of the 9/10 debate over a dispute about muting microphones. Everybody knows that he did so well a couple of months ago in part due to the fact that his mic was muted while Biden was speaking. The Dems are demanding that his mic be unmuted and Trump’s people are screaming “No! You gotta mute him!!!” ‘Cause they already know he can’t keep his stupid mouth shut. Somehow the Dems have become the part of economic sanity, too. They’re like “we’re gonna spend and extra $2 trillion, then then raise an extra $5 trillion in new taxes.” As a conservative, I don’t like it. But it’s better than Trump’s plan of “I’m gonna cut taxes by five trillion!” with nary a mention of spending cuts. The Harris campaign glossed it as “a deficit bomb” and that’s exactly what it is… the same thing happened last time. Rs: Cut taxes, spend less. Ds: Raise taxes, spend more. Trump: Cut taxes, spend more, then…. What do you mean we can’t just file bankruptcy?
  7. You do realize that people make a good living by the number of "clicks" their content receives, right? There's not a single poll ANYWHERE that shows Trump up by seven. Not a single poll on 538 even has him tied with Harris. These guys are getting rich pushing lies to simpletons.
  8. Serious question, though. We’re less than 10 weeks out and the wind is at Kamala’s back. What do y’all think could possibly turn the tide back Trump’s way? I don’t think the Rfk endorsement moves the needle. I think a disastrous debate performance by Harris could potentially impact the race, but I’m not sure it would be enough… and I’m frankly more worried about Trump having a disastrous debate and sealing the deal… if Harris even agrees to have one. I don’t see any way that Trump can turn it around, but does anybody else have a suggestion? Dump Vance for someone that brings more people into the fold? I don’t know.
  9. My guess is that most people gravitated towards RFK because they were “anybody but Biden or Trump” votes. That would make them unlikely to swing Trump’s way, but rather Harris because she IS “anybody but Trump or Biden.” I also believe that most RFK voters tended to lean liberal… disgruntled democrats if you will. Those voters would be more inclined to return left than adventure to the right for the first time. Purely just my opinion, not a fact. If RFK voters split 50/50 for Harris and Trump, it’s a a wash. If 100% of them miraculously decide to vote Trump, it’s not enough to overcome Harris’s advantage based on recent polling. It would definitely help trump, but not enough.
  10. He’s 78, pretty sure. But you have to admit that he’s not looking too hot these days. The campaign, the legal problems, marital problems, judgments, a new energetic opponent who’s just swooped by him into the lead, the assassination attempt…. He just looks like a shadow of himself in the last two weeks or so. Name calling isn’t getting it done in 2024.
  11. Let me tell you about the best $10 I ever spent. It was back in 1996, at a place on Mlk called Bare Elegance. Her name was Stormy…”
  12. Believing Trump is going to be President again is like believing the stripper really likes you.
  13. Yeah, we could…. But they wouldn’t let us drive anywhere.
  14. Yeah… we’re still “energy independent.” Why are the prices so high? Oh, supply and demand. The country is back to work now that we have a competent administration. Vote Trump if you like shutdowns, lockdowns, mask orders, and toilet paper rationing.
  15. When the country was shut down and demand dried up? Trump wrecked the economy, Biden/Harris saved us. Anybody with a shred of economic education recognizes that inflation was caused by the deficit spending signed into law by Trump BECAUSE HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS DOING. The government sent out COVID checks and PPP loans and y’all call it prosperity. welfare queens.
  16. Nah… he’s done.
  17. Well..... if only we'd have considered a candidate that could beat her. Nope.... we wanted more mean tweets.
  18. I never realized....
  19. I can afford to buy a house in Vidor. I just can’t afford all of the junk cars and old appliances I’d have to have in the front yard if I want to fit in, lol.
  20. Reagan is the only Trump University graduate I know.
  21. Agreed…. Well said.
  22. I'll be honest... we haven't had anything financially sustainable in almost 25 years. 1. Democrats get elected by promising unsustainable giveaways to their voters. 2. Republicans get elected by promising unsustainable tax cuts to their voters. There's no difference between the two, other than one benefits the working stiffs/wealthy and the other benefits the sick, lame, lazy, and infirm. Both are gonna kill us, thought.
