If Silsbee scores 38, Newton's defense is not near as good as I thought they might be. That's what I need to see win or lose.

Deweyville used to beat Newton in Pee Wee football.

From what I hear W.T. said #9 could be the best back to ever come out of Newton.

Personally IMHO Anthony Byerly was the best running back to ever play at Newton.

Playing devil's advocate. Those three had to start somewhere, what if they are three more coming better than them. Will not know this till later in the year.

Come on CB, just trying to spread some love.

Now I'm not saying it will turn out this way because, 1- this is high school football and 2- I don't know enough about either team but if it turns out like he projected it are you going to give him a hug and apologize to him?

One of the reasons I give Newton a chance is because Silsbee is slow out of the gate for some reason. If this was week ten instead of week two it might be a different story. Win or lose this game will answer a lot of questions for me.

The defense is what I need to know about. This game should provide that information. A low scoring close game with either outcome would be a good indicator.

Let's get it started. Newton has a 31 game winning streak. Does Silsbee break it or does it go on? It's early in the year and I need to see the defense tested. This game will answer a lot of questions for me. Newton in a close one.
