  1. Texans take on the Giants in the Meadowlands... Foster is doubtful with a hamstring injury so Blue and Grimes will have to step up.
  2. So true... The guy needs to make the most out of a free education and stop doing stupid $#!+
  3. He broke the single season hits record tonight with a hit up the middle in the 7th... He has had one heck of a year... The future looks bright for the Stros!
  4. I am really excited from what I have seen so far from the Texans this year. OB and Crennel are doing a great job and the team is playing inspired, intense football. The season is a marathon and there will be rough games but I think they are going to compete week in and week out and win quite a few football games. Hopefully the injury bug stays away and the team stays hungry.
  5. I do not and will never take a game as a "moral victory" but after the way they played tonight, it does give me hope for the rest of the season. Hopefully Swoopes continues to get better every week.
  6. Glad they made changes on offensive and kept the tempo up and the defense guessing
  7. A week after upsetting Ohio State, Va Tech drops one to East Carolina.
  8. Total different team from last week... The defense looks like they are playing with a different level of intensity and the offense looks better and better as they open the playbook and give Swoopes more freedom... O-line needs to play better but it looks like they had a heck of a week of practice and the coaches put together a better gameplan this week... As always, Hook'em!
  9. It looked like his elbow to me... It looked pretty nasty but they said he will try to get back on the field
  10. After the WVU game I was real skeptical of Bama... They just don't seem to have the top tier defense it will take to protect an offense that will struggle
  11. Todd Gurley has had a tough time getting going but the guy is just a freak of nature
  12. To those that are totally against Ray Rice now that the video surfaced, were you this angry/mad/judgemental when you first found out he hit his fiance? I am 100% against men hitting women and I am also in favor of him serving his consequence for it, but to sit here and say he should be banned for something that has gone on for a long time is crazy. If he is banned for hitting a woman, then everyone who has and will hit a woman should suffer the same consequence for it to be fair across the board.
  13. As a UT fan, I am disappointed that they haven't been as good as I thought they were going to be and as good as they should have been in the past few years. If anything in college football is true, it is that college football is a very cyclical sport. UT will bounce back(who knows when, maybe next year, maybe in 3+ years). To blame Mack Brown or Charlie Strong is crazy to me, Mack gave us as UT fans 16 great years of running a great program and winning a lot of football games. Charlie Strong will do well based on what he did as a DC plus what he did at Louisville. Louisville is a good team this year and the team was built by Strong. I remember the days when Mackovic was pacing the sidelines on the forty acres and those were tough times. They just have to weather the storm and trust in who they hired to do the job. To say the Big XII is a trash conference is crazy personally, but to each their own. I partially understand the high and mighty aTm attitude because they have put a good football team together, but if any school should know how to weather tough times and trust that the decision makers will put together the right pieces to succeed, I would think aTm would be high up on that list. Enjoy while it lasts but remember, nothing lasts forever.
  14. It won't be long until the NFL is the NFFL(National Flag Football League)... I understand they are trying to protect players but when offensive players tell guys on defense to go high instead of low and furthermore offer to pay the fine if they go high then something is wrong... Head injuries are bad but knee injuries have ruined more careers than any other type of injury
  15. Why should he not be allowed back after serving a suspension... 2 guys that were convicted of intoxicated manslaughter were allowed back with no uproar... Hitting a woman is wrong and a terrible thing, but if you ban him then you have to ban everyone else who has done it... Whether it is a punch or a slap or whether it is behind closed doors or caught on camera, domestic violence is domestic violence...
  16. I agree that if they lose 3-4 in a row Mallett will see some action, which would be the smart thing to do... There is just something that tells me that Fitz will do enough to keep the job for the duration of the year
  17. You must've not watched the same Schaub I did. His strength was accuracy, he under threw almost every deep ball I've ever seen him through. Arm strength was one of his biggest weaknesses.
  18. As one of the few Texans fans that doesn't hate(or like) the Cowboys(which I don't see why any fans do with them being in a different conference and only playing them every 4 years), I hope they bounce back because I have Dez Bryant on one of my fantasy teams and Demarco Murray on the other and I want to win money!
  19.   Fitz has the ability to make plays with his feet if the pocket collapses which Schaub could never do. He made some bad throws but when he missed he missed low and didn't allow the defense to make a play on the ball or tip it. The play calling was very vanilla and I think they will open up the playbook as the season wears on. There is no doubt that Fitz is nothing more than a game management type QB but I think he will play better as the season wears on and as he gets more time in with the backs and recievers. For the Texans to have success this year, the defense will have to play very well week in and week out. I look for them to trade up in the upcoming draft to get a franchise QB, Fitz is just bridging the gap IMO.
  20. The Titans D is an underrated squad and Jake Locker looked pretty good in week 1 from the highlights/what I've heard and read... Should be a good football game, I doubt Romo plays near as poorly as he did in week 1
  21. It was an "eh" game for Fitz... He did not make many plays that I would've liked to see him make but he did not turn the ball over... As the season wears on and him and O'Brien gain trust in each other, I think he will improve a bit... He is a "game manager" at best though... Defense was very impressive, DJ Swearinger played his tail off
  22. Judging from your grammar, you must've graduated from aggieland with honors!
  23. Stanford was horrible in the red zone... They spent the majority of the afternoon in USC territory and only managed 10 points
  24. Should be a good game and should be fun to watch... I'll take the Texans 34-20
