  1. I agree.. I remember my freshman and sophomore year in high school. It was hard to be high on the ladder in Kirbyville. And even girl's doubles were very competitive. My freshman year girl's doubles was extremely challenging, but my sophomore year, my partner and I dominated in doubles at every tourn. The only challenge we had was the team from orangefield but we beat them every time. My jr and sr year in singles, there were a few people that were pretty ok for girls, like erin kelly, meredith miller, and jordan. But There's just not many people left now at all... Tourns are just not nearly as intense as they used to be. No one cares as much at my high school anymore.. Idk about other high schools, but that's how it is after the past few years at Kirbyville.
  2. Well I sure do hope the kid that beat Matt, beats Tucker horribly because that dude's head is way too big.
  3. I can't wait to see Tippett and Atkinson dominate at state. It's going to take alot to beat these guys.
  4. I'll try to keep everyone updated if I can find some wireless internet up there! haha
  5. Wall beat Atkinson and Tippett barely. I really think that Atkinson and Tippett can beat them if they meet again, but hopefully they will meet in finals!
  6. Yeah, it's definitely not over! I most definitely believe that Matt can make it all the way to finals and if he comes against Tucker again, I believe he can take him down the next time! Goodluck Matt!
  7. Thank you! Cole Atkinson and Lane Tippett won boy's doubles and they were seeded number two, and what's even more awesome is that Derrick Deaton and Michael Whitten weren't seeded at all in boy's doubles and they beat the number one seed and got second! I'm so proud of our guys. Jessica Barefield and Katelyn Green were seeded number four in girl's doubles and come out on number one which is also great! And I got second after playing two callbacks after losing to the number one seed. I'm just so proud of our whole team. They helped cheer everyone on til the end and I appreciate it so much. And I appreciate everyone else who helped cheer our team on!
  8. Well everyone is Kirbyville placed at district either first or second. Today we played our first two matches and tomorrow we'll finish up. Landry girls singles, Atkinson and Tippett boys doubles, Whitten and Deaton boys doubles, Moore and Cox mixed doubles, and Green and Barefield girls doubles, will all play in the semis tomorrow morning.
  9. Yep, kirbyville won district that year, just like kville has for many years straight. Hope that keeps going. =]
  10. Tippett and Atkinson have a very good chance at going to state this year too. =]
  11. Haha, I wish they would. I would love to watch that match! ;D
  12. Yes that is true, they are playing singles instead of doubles cause of some sort of mess up on the report card that left Andrews uneligable ;D But he is playing in district k thanks
  13. haha, sorry but word and andrews wouldn't take region so easily if they took it at all. Tippett and Atkinson are a very strong doubles team. And Bengal didn't you say in another post that word and andrews are playing singles anyway?
  14. ANd also Larena Elser of Kville got first in Girl's B singles.
  15. Yeah, the guy's team is actually better than the girls this year, but when you go to team tennis, the guy's competition is usually much harder, so they try and stall so the girls can win as many games as possible.
  16. They played doubles together at the Nederland tourney. I really hope they play doubles together. They're a great team.
  17. That's right. Chuck Norris probably doesn't even need a raquet to beat someone in tennis. He's just that awesome.
  18. Actually I think atkinson and tippett are both playing singles.
  19. Yeah, it was really hard to believe that we actually lost. But I'm so proud of our guys for making it as far as they did. It was a pretty awesome time being able to go to state, especially being able to say this all happened for the first time my senior year.
