This is a good game. When I saw SC play them the way that they did, I had a feeling that Cita would beat them.

I hate that Bailey isn’t playing and really hope he recovers 100%. I saw the play he was injured on and it’s very unfortunate how it happened. I do agree with you about the game losing some of its luster.. the backup qb/wr has been playing well. I think coaching will come to play if atascocita takes away his comfort plays from him..

Y’all really think NS will beat these people by 30? SC played NS Better than anyone this far and watching both SC and ATASCOCITA defense.. I’ll give the edge to Cita.. and the offense and coaching is better as well.. however you are right though.. that’s why the game is played.. I’ll be shocked if atascocita get blew out..

I think atascocita is the most complete team in the district. Their defense is pretty good especially their front 7

Y’all think Martin is the deciding factor to BU winning? i think third will have a field day with BU defense.. If BU throws the ball in the air, i see INTS coming down. now I will say this, Martin will have a decent game because wb struggles with containment. But to takeover and win the game idk..

What kills Beaumont football is the off-season. Kids arent training for football.. they aren’t running track nor are they with personal trainers. kids out here in Houston are grinding in the off-season as a team and individually. wb didn’t have spring ball nor did they do 7on7. Those are two important factors as well. They received their offensive coach late. They’ve had coaching changes. while their district opponents minus BU have been grinding consistently without those factors to my knowledge. mourn kids are beat before the season comes into to play from the off-season. And that’s where successful programs win at! Kids have to want it and coaches have to motivate to participate. (Not saying that’s not happening, just a statement)

After looking at film from BU and WB, I think Wb will take this. WB has a bunch of weapons and has been progressing both sides of the ball.

Question for you guys who keep saying Peevey this and Chuck that. what do you think Peevey would’ve done different in these last two games to help wb win?

I think west Brook figured it out more than manvel. Manvel didn’t change anything 2nd half. Wb defense started playing the run better heck even defending the pass better. They gave up one pass td which you can fix that ( technique by db). i saw a lot of progression by wb even in this loss. If wb can get the offensive passing game on the same page with the run it will be a good season offensively. Now defensively, hopefully with a slight but imperative change in the secondary they will be ok as well.

My take away from the game: Defense looks as basic as it can get. We just have to wrap up and make the tackles. If we do that we put them in bad field position with Long 2nd & 3rd downs. Secondary has to play better.. and people complain about 7on7 but it helps and prepare secondaries for fall ball. We fly to the ball just gotta make the tackles. i think they will be alright. Qb has to settle down and just play. Use his techniques to make the throws. He got the first game out of the way, now he has to watch film and get ready for the next game. We have weapons on offense. O-line looked good as well. I’m excited about this team.

This west Brook group has some talent on both sides of the ball. Though they are young, they do have some athletes that can compete. i do believe this will be some what of a high scoring game that will come down to the penalties and special teams (extra points and field goals)

I think after following these threads that it sound like top teams are out of PA and BMT with some good teams out of NED B/W, EBMT. I think peewee division will be the most interesting and exciting division where on any given saturday any team can win. whats up with flag and senior division? no one talk about those divisions

Same goes for you, why dont you get on the board and/or speak up against it with cold hard facts at a meeting. this forum wont change anything. get off the screen names and get involved outside of coaching and help the stjfl become great again! lol

Like I've stated in the post email the stjfl board of your concerns and attend a meeting to speak whats on your mind and present your cold hard facts of what is going on that shouldnt be going on. if you witnessed all of that and didnt confront it when it happened then shame on you for not standing up for whats right at that time. im pretty sure they could use some help now on the board you dont have to wait til 2019 when none of us is promised to see it! you seem like a person with integrity, you will do the stjfl some good!

Fellas, I've read the threads from the last couple of days. And i must say its a bunch of finger pointing and assuming dealing with kids. Like literally fellas these are kids. They can't get on here and defend themselves. If Nederland has a problem with PA write a letter to STJFL or take the time out of your life to help make the league a better league. Get on the board and help. Stop sitting back pointing the finger at this league or that league based off something you HEARD! If you don't have any facts to any of the accusations please be quiet and stop starting mess. If your not man enough to call out who told you what then please be quiet and stop starting mess. STJFL have men and women who are taking the time out their lives and families to have something nice for these kids in this area to look forward to and enjoy on weekends but most importantly keep them out of trouble. This make this area look bad and these kids don't have a clue of whats going. People to worried about if a kid has a waiver or not to play in this area or not. Listen football is a team sport not tennis golf etc. 11 on 11 get the job done and coach your kids. Coach them to have fun, be brothers to one another and enjoy this game. Because every kid isn't blessed to play this beautiful game! Like i said earlier, get off the computer and get involved with the STJFL and help change the culture if you think its so corrupt. Stop going off what you heard and go off of evidence and present your evidence to the board and hold them accountable. This is childish for men to act like this.. Be better than this!
