Lamar plays at SMU tonight in their first game against Division I opponent. Lamar 18.5 point underdog.

Nice win today. Have to go on the road and play a tough SFA next weekend. SELA and SFA caught a break in that they don't play each other.

Lamar beats Northwestern State 41-14 - as they should have. I saw Coleman played at QB this week. I know McCown got his bell rung at the end of the UTRGV game. Anybody hear if he had some kind of lingering injury?

Lamar ranked #15 in FCS Coaches poll this week. Future opponents Southeastern Louisiana #19 and SFA #24 also ranked.

Ben Woodard kicks a 57 yard field goal for Lamar with 1:03 remaining to give Lamar another close win 23-21. Lamar had turned the ball over at their own 7 and own 25 setting up two UTRG touchdowns in the 4th quarter after Lamar jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first half.
