1. I just looked at the schedule for the week. And 20-4A seems to be the only team not playing tomorrow night. Why is that?
 2.
Good luck keeping the PNG's offense down to 3 runs. Nelson will be on the bump and the most runs he has given up is 2 and that  was to a good Livingston's team against a SFA signee. I think that PNG is going to score atleast 5+. Another tid bit of information is that Nelson has only let up 2 runs in district so far. So with that statistics posted for you. I do not think LCM will score 5. PNG wins this one
Great points. This does look to be a mismatch on paper. But the games aren't played on paper, and it's at LCM so i say the Bears can keep it close. PNG 7 LCM 4
 3. I think this could be a great year for setx baseball. There are several team that could be playing deep into the playoffs. But these are my 2cents heading in. 1. Bridge City-Just loaded with talent and experience 2. Nederland-pitching, pitching, and uh more pitching 3. Barbers Hill-looks like the new coach is ready to get the most out of the talent rich program 4. PNG-Loads of talent moving up to fill the wholes left from graduation. Will suprise lots of folks 5. Jasper-Return almost all from last year. Expect these guys to play deep. 6. GCM-Must find a way to replace Jacobs, but still have plenty of pitching 7. Livingston-one elite arm. if they can add to that they could move up fast 8. LCM-lots of wholes to fill in the top of the lineup, but they always seem to find a way 9. Vidor-will be young but talented. need to gell early and then will compete with LCM for 4th 10. Sislbee-Have more returning than people realize. Already signed 2 seniors. Ozen-my sleeper pick in 20-4a to make the playoffs. If anyone stumbles Ozen will be there to take their place. I really like some of their players this year. Depth is always a problem though.
 4. We have discussed this on here in the past. Unless it has changed there is no tiebreaker in this district. I believe all ties are settled with a play off game. Someone please correct me if this is wrong.

The post saying it was called because of lighting was at 9:10. That is way to early to give up on the night. It is leagal to play till midnight I thought. I bet Lumberton's coach was going crazy about being sent home down only 4 runs.
Yep, in a game that is called early, for whatever reason, had it been allowed to continue, the team that is behind always stages a comeback and wins. The team in the lead never widens the gap.
Im sure both happen. Im also sure you would have a different opinion had it been your team denied the chance to come back.

 7. Gotta go with the indians in this one. Prob something like 7-2. Good teams win home games with their #1 on the hill. That's what LCM has done so far and the indians have to much talent to continue to struggle at home.
 8.
PNG rained out
Playing tom?
 9.
PNG will be solid as will LCM.  Kyle Green doesn't always have as strong of pitchers but does a great job of managing matchups with the opposing team.  Nederland has already shown alot of depth with Smith, Lasell, Duplechan, etc.  When they finish with basketball, Pitts and Fontenot will only make that bullpen stronger!
For the last 4 years vidor has had hester. Arguably the best in the area the last couple of years.
 10. First off the sucker punch from the coward not signing his name should be deleted and his user name as well. This board is for promoting high school sports he is obviously on here with a personal agenda. To topic : ned and png are prob 1a/1b right now. Give the edge to png with stone/jalali
 11.
Since I've never coached Select ball are their any rules concerning pitch counts at tournaments?
Great question admin. It is my understanding that select ball has not adopted the pitch count standards of any kind. (I could be misinformed) Like Little League now has the pitch count rules in place in an attempt to stem the tide of over throwing. In my limited experience of attending a few select tournament it is very much needed. Kids (under 12) throwing 100+ pitches in a day. Throwing back to back days. At some point someone needs to step up and make some type of regulations. I am not taking a side on the cureve ball thing. As I will not state that I am not an expert (which I'm not) but then go on to give an opion as if I am. However, some of you might find this article interesting. I think these guys would be considered experts. [Hidden Content]
 12. I agree Nederland has a ridiculous amount of depth. The talent pool is as deep as it has ever been. I really can't imagine them not winning the district title again this year. Hopefully, they can catch a few more breaks in the post season and make it a little deeper.
 13. I know this has been asked and answered so please forgive me. But does anyone know anyone giving lessons this summer for a couple of girls just getting started. Contact info would also be appriciated.

 15.
So who is exactly hurt for Magnolia. Like there number one, two, or three?
I spoke to some people who said no one was hurt. That is just misinformation that Magnolia is putting out there to sandbag a little.
 16. Sitting at home bored today so I thought I would try to answer this question. Here are the last two years. 2010 Nederland 1-0, 5,0 (GCM) PNG 4-11, 15-1, 15-4 (GP) LCM 3-0, 3-12, 5-4 (KP) Vidor 1-7 (Crosby) 2009 Nederland 11-1, 15-3 (CE King) PNG 9-2, 10-3 (KP) LCM 5-1, 11-12, 4-1 (Crosby) Vidor 3-13, 6-1, 1-10 (Barbers Hill) Series Wins 20-4A (6) 19-4A (2) Game  Wins 20-4A (13) 19-4A (6) Runs Scored 20-4A (126) 19-4A (87) I'm not sure what all this means (other than I had nothing better to do). I'll let you be the judge.

Are you old enough to remember this?  1st Man: Look, up in the sky! It's a plane! 2nd Man: It's a bird! Woman: It's a frog! 1st Man: A frog? Underdog: Not plane nor bird nor even frog. It's just little old me... Underdog: Underdog
The Bears have been hearing these types of predictions all year. Very few people if any even had them getting in the post season this year. I for one had them 5th and thought they could even end up 6th. (they proved me wrong) Then they were playing a district champion who had already beaten the Bears #1 pitcher and again no one, including me, gave them much of a chance. (again they proved me wrong) So I am going to take Magnolia in 3 and hope the Bears continue to prove everyone wrong. Good luck Bears!!! The

How many D-1 signees have yawl faced?
Pitching crosby faced a kid early in the year that signed to LSU. he was clocked at 91-94. too many D-1 kids at other positions to count...
What is his name and what school? Not trying to be antagonistic, just curious. I have seen Hester and nothing wrong with him being the best you've seen. He is the best alot of teams have seen. Anyone can win the one game series and from what I have heard yawls number one is legit too.
