  1. Agree on all above but he probablly won't ever see a bat unles he goes in the NL. I bet he didn't have a AB in JUCO.
  2. I wouldn't pay to much attention to info on projections after the first few rounds, you never know what they'll do. Once again there IS NO list a player has to be on, just a graduated HS senior or 21 I think, used to be a grad Jr in college or 21 but seems as if they have changed a few rules since I followed the MLB draft closely.
  3. NO for sure didn't mean to, seems as if some people do think you have to be in a pool or ?? to be eligible. Considering how many are eligible it is a MAJOR achievment to be selected in ANY round. I'm wondering how long MLB has had the rule of a player signing before Aug ? Not to many yrs back you had a wekk before the draft UNLESS you were in Post season play.
  4. I wonder why theres no mention of Erickison he had one of the lowest ERAs in the conf if not the lowest. A lefthander can rate as high as a Rh with up to 3-4mph less than the Rh. ??
  5. TC 280Rem had it 2 yrs and its got to be the best Ive had and have had most usuall call. Got a 6.5x200 Nikon sitting on top. SWEEEEET
  6. As of a few minutes ago the top 4-5 were out of HS
  7. Really dont understand the subject of this thread as all HS seniors are subject to being drafted.
  8. If you rely on Tom Hiltons #s you'l burn as much. I have Toms maps and generally the rig #s are the ONLY ones you can count on. I'm personal friends with Rik Jacobson and will say when you go to one of his #s when your GPS zeros out your bottom machine will lite up as ALL his #s are varified before published. The only thing about Rik is he dont have much out of Sabine and East, he does have many #s he's converted from GPS but will not publish till he actually checks his conversion. I'm currently waiting on him to get free and come take a ride. [Hidden Content]
  9. Location, location and location is the 3 things that make a pitcher, all these pitchers with high strike outs lead to HIGH pitch counts>>something that has to be controlled, not IP. I would much rather see a guy work the lower part of the zone and get the ground ball outs that would extend his pitching. Roy O is one of the best examples I can think of. You get a defense that relies on Ks you end up like HJ, and this is simple fundamentals of baseball.
  10. All East of Galv is somewhat new to me, since Iv'e moved to Sabine I havn't been able to get out to check whats here with the freakn wind blowing like it has been. I'm after some pipeline charts but other than that I guess it will be rig hopping for us with a constant eye on the bottom machine. I have lots of stuff out of Galv and working on Sabine now. PNG do you trailer your boat?? mine is sitting in the water at the port authority>>>>and READY.
  11. In the last 2 games there SEEMS to be lots of K E2's and also have heard from a very reliable source, you could have doubled the errors from what showed on the brd and it would be closer to the # of E's commited. Lots of talk here about pitchers comming back with virtually no rest, this is what will show a good coach. You run a boys arm in the ground to win a high school game but take a chance on ruining his future, even IF it is for a chance to go to state>>we're talking about a boys future in BB.
  12. From what I've read here it had to be a pitchers nitemare!!!!!!!!! Some would call a inten walk with 2 out and a runner on second " % baseball" no matter what the score.
  13. Not me, was waiting on filters>>got em, and now waiting on a window for some 'bluewater action' What about the CCA tourn, I wasn't gonna fish it due to CCAs stand on the 'Snapper issue' but probably will tho.
  14. San Jac won again in Grand Junction, beat Western Nevada 12-5. Will play again tonite vs Chipola @ 730, both teams are the only undefeated teams left
  15. My feelings exactly, I'm a firm believer in JUCO ball, seems as if lots of people are misinformed on JUCO and think its somewhat a lesser accomplishment as I did, UNTIL we visited and did some research. The first yr my son played with Seminole they went into the series with a 56-6 record thats 62 games in the spring and they played close to 40 gms in the fall. Look at any D1s roster and see how many came from JUCOs.
  16. You can take this or lv it BUT I'm calling BS on the guy throwing in the 90s and not getting any looks, IF he were throwing that, he would have been signed by someone other than Panola UNLESS they got to him first and I'm NOT speaking of a D1, a D1 could have signed him last Nov.. A 17y/o HS guy that throws OR touches the 90s occasionally will get a call on 6/5 or 6/6 but this I dought. I'm not shooting a line of BS here just speaking from what I encountered with my son, he NEVER touched 90 in HS but I've still got a box of letters from Nebr, Tulane. TT, UT, along with several others, and I don't know how many JUCOs. He did sign with Lamar in the early signing period (Nov 97) and went ahead and signed and played with Seminole State in Ok. He was drafted out of HS in the 45th. BTW I was told my son threw 93 in HS and this tooo was BS. He was consistant at 87 and 17 in his senior yr.
  17. With the wind at his back!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Whooo, with all the info about the pitchers, I'm surprised they hav'nt got some calls from some Gen Managers in the big leagues by now. Surley they will get a call on 6/5, anybody with less talent will get their call on 6/6
  19. Neither can break a egg in the mit, early season they had to move the rubber up to reach the plate, but both have got used to the 60'6", the fielders can't catch a cold, the hitters have a hard time hitting the water when they fall out of a boat. But in a game where you can fail at the plate 70% of the time and still be in the "Hall of Fame" they both do well.

  22. What did you stop at the jetties for, it was supposed to be flat offshore Sun. I've been stuck onshore waiting on some fuel filter for my motors. I was fishing off the bank @ Sabine Port Authority Sun and watched the parade comming back in with the GWs and CG working overtime checking anything that was afloat.
  23. Brandon Richey from HJ ALSO made the first team as a Jr. at SS, kinda odd he was told by a very local college coach that he didn't have what it takes to be a D1 player.
  24. "A great pitcher knows how to win"??????????? A great pitcher is one that keeps his team in the game so they have a chance to win>>he can't bat for all, neither can he field all balls hit.
