If the BU vs Silsbee Games are standing room crowds let them play, it’s good for recruitment for both teams in The Beaumont Area.

They call schools all over the country, BU can easily make that call for 2024

I would pay top dollar to see anyone not named Yates (Past Glory) play a Link Academy, Sunrise Academy or Montverde Academy Anywhere in Texas. Please

The Thanksgiving Hoopfest in Duncanville has been very competitive the last few years. I remember when Yates played in that particular tournament and got the brakes beat clean off, lost by 60 pts per game. I guess some coaches don’t look at win / loss but what makes the team better

I feel it isn’t about Silsbee, but more about schools that don’t play outside of there comfort zones

Why is it that the Dallas area schools that are highly ranked in Texas, regardless of classification in any giving year are playing Highly Ranked Teams. Duncanville & Faith Family both played and loss to Montverde Academy this year and have played them in previous years. Duncanville is down this year with there recruitment and Faith Family is who they are. I have not seen too many Houston area schools playing outside of their comfort zone. I don’t see any harm with playing those Prep or Academy Schools, playing those schools will or should prepare them for the next level. Faith Family plays a very competitive schedule outside of Texas, to be the best you have to beat / play the best. Faith Family schedule prepares them for San Antonio, everyone else is playing for 2nd place

From what I read this Silsbee Team returned a majority of players from last year. Hate to see the young man from Silsbee “Miller” not make it to state. Dirty but Dazzling your statement is correct about not playing for state title

2022-24 Realignment Duncanville 4642 enrollment compared to Faith Family 657 ??? I believe Faith Family participate in other sports than basketball 🏀. I’m curious to hear what the schools in FF district are saying about this school/team. Faith Family district is made up of all Prep Schools

My bad, The Throne National Championship at Morehouse College

Beaumont United team will play in The Throne National Basketball Tournament as the Beaumont Elite starting March 29 at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Faith Family also received an invite to this tournament as Oak Cliff Elite. BU and FF coaches are not allowed to be on the bench or coach their teams nor can they wear their school basketball 🏀 uniforms. Coaching from the bleachers 😂😂😂

My point was Sir, BTW accomplished something that no other school was able to do this year, beat those power teams out of Beaumont Area. This was BTW Year

Furr was a senior team this year, so they will return to their old self’s and BTW window is closing. Yates is OK
