Ok. So now that it is pinned. how does one edit it?

It looks like the big game Tuesday will be Central vs. Nederland. A jaguar upset would certainly tighten things up. Suddenly, I am a Jags fan!!
-
It looks like the top 4 are starting to separate themselves.

Updated 2/21, except for BC/Ozen:
Nederland 7-1-0 21 pts
LC-M 6-2-0 18 pts
Central 5-2-1 17 pts
PN-G 5-2-1 16 pts
H-F 3-5-0 9 pts
Vidor 3-5-0 9 pts
Ozen 1-6-0 3 pts
B C 0-7-0 0 pts
-
Nederland wins 5-0 over Vidor, Binagia with 2 goals.
PN-G wins 1-0 over LC-M, avenging the Orange County hosing the first time around. The Indians scored in the 5th minute on a Dykes header off a corner kick and they made it hold up. Once again, the LC-M boys showed no class. I would be embarrassed to be a parent of a couple of their players.

Really? You think Nederland can score on that Indian defense? I'm going 2-0 PN-G.
-
A win is 3 pts whether it is in regulation or OT. Overtime consists of 2 10 minute periods. If the score is still tied after 20 minutes of OT, they go to a shootout. A shootout win is 2pts while a shootout loss is 1 pt. shootouts still count as ties in the won-loss record.
-
Jeremiah Rose from PN-G caught 11 balls against Ozen, most of those with Tony Brown covering. No doubt he is FAST, but not a shutdown corner. He did take an interception back 100 yards in that game and he got down the field in a hurry!

LCM won 2-0. So now there is a tie for first between them and Nederland. Both are 5-1. PN-G is a half game back at 4-1-1 after their 5th consecutive shutout. Defense has not allowed a goal in over 420 minutes. HUGE game Tuesday at Bulldog stadium!!

These are the scoring leaders for PN-G this year:
Player G A PTS
Trey Keyes 16 6 36
Dylan East 12 8 32
Austin Bergeron 6 3 15
Koby Jones 5 5 15
Martin Torres 4 0 8
Does anyone have any info or stats for any other teams? Scoring leaders, etc.
The Indians have outscored their opponents 47-8 this year.

These are the district standings as far as I know thru 5 games:
1. Nederland 5-0 15 pts
2. LC-M 4-1 12 pts
3. PN-G 3-1-1 10 pts
4. Central 2-2-1 8 pts
5. H-F 2-3 6 pts
6. Vidor
7. Ozen
8. BC
Sorry I don't know the records of the last 3. Any help would be appreciated.
This should be an interesting race.
Tonight:
Nederland vs LC-M
PN-G vs. H-F
Next Tuesday:

You don't have to be a admin/mod to "organize and build a following". Any member can post previews, histories, schedules, etc.
What's funny is that the only soccer talk that's been on the site since we came back from server crash is the complaints about not having a separate soccer forum. If soccer is so popular and so important and has such a huge following, why hasn't there been any threads posted in this new forum about soccer games, standings, schedules and so forth?
How about show the owner why there should be a soccer forum and not lumped in here with the other sports?
BTW, we have a mod who is a huge soccer fan. bullets13
1. The soccer season was just getting started when the server crashed so there wasn't much to talk about yet.
2. You act as if it would cost the owner more money to split off into a separate forum. So what if there isn't much traffic. Explain the reasoning behind that logic please. If you haven't noticed, there have been a lot of views since this thread started less than a week ago. I don't understand your reluctance.

Though I have interest in High School Soccer (Daughter), I have to agree with Aggies that there is
little to no discussion on this sport except for an occasional score posting.
Any news on recruiting or important info can be relayed in other forums.
Of course there is little to no posting, there is no forum for it!!! Open the forum and then see if it gets traffic. You're not going to see traffic if there is no forum. Duh!
-
With that logic, why have any forums at all??? Just lump all sports together!! Really?!?!?!?

As for District 38-4A soccer, the race is heating up. Central upset previously unbeaten LCM last night 2-0, leaving Nederland as the only unbeaten team in the district at 5-0. LCM is now 4-1 and faces Nederland this Friday in a battle for 1st. PN-G is close behind at 3-1-1.

I agree with dme111. Soccer would get more hits if it had its own thread. Does it take up too much of your bandwidth to add a thread??? What is the deal? In years past, there have been a lot of posts about soccer. And even if, as you say Aggie that only scores would get posted, that is something that many people are interested to know. The newspapers and TV sports don't report those scores very well and it would be nice to know things like standings and scores from our local high schools.
