1. Couldn't find the answer but has Coach Sigler led Silsbee to state tourney? Not trying to bash, just an honest question.
 2. The Diboll basketball team is the football team is the baseball team. They Don't have the luxury to commit to one sport as the that Silsbee basketball team that showed up Friday. This team has that potential. This year marks 10 years since Dibolls last state tourney appearance, which the current coach led.
 3. Unranked Diboll scored 50+ by halftime on Silsbee last Friday. Either Silsbee defense needs improvement or Diboll has a decent team this year. Ill admit Silsbee D improved in the 2nd half! I noticed Diboll got a couple votes in the rankings !
 4. Diboll should fare well this season. Played well vs a team who will make it deep in playoffs. Silsbee missing a few guys still due to football. Diboll had tough time closing out the game and as mentioned above were up by more than 20 at one point.
 5. I believe Diboll travels to Silsbee on November 20. Should be a good matchup. Diboll returns 3 starters from last season.
 6.
Too much went wrong in bottom of 6th.... Hit Walk Balk called Error at third ( should have ended inning IMO) if made.... Missed interference call on batter along with another error at third Home run was legit, if it would have gotten to him at all. Too much to ask for one thing not to happen.  All that said....  have to hit and field the ball.  Period. Diboll hung tough and capitalized.
I'm no rules expert so correct me if I'm wrong but I thought a normal swing and follow through cannot be considered batter interference.  I wasn't at the game and I'm assuming the batter had to be deliberate in his actions to be called for interference.  But like I said, if he had a normal swing and follow through with no deliberate or intentional interference then the ump got it right by not calling it.

 8.
That was a heck of a basketball game held at Sam Houston as I recall. That Diboll team was lead by Jermichael Finley of UT and Green Bay Packer fame. They beat Silsbee 58-55, and then lost to Graham in Austin.
Finley averaged 24 points and 20 rebounds that year.  I know the rebound average seems unreal but those were the end of year stats.  Too bad they couldn't get by graham.  I remember Finley going for a wide open dunk and failed.  I believe Bullard or Van won the state championship that year.
 9.
Yea, it would be nice, but alot of games to be played. Diboll is a very good team. Silsbee will need the great pitching from Powell and the bats to get hot. I still pick Silsbee to win. Go Tigers! Didnt Diboll beat the boys basketball team in the Regional finals back in like 2004 or 05?
I believe 2005 diboll did beat silsbee to go on to the state tournament in ATX.
