Freshman A running back #20 comes from the same line. If he can keep it together he’s probably going to be better than older cousin. There’s some very impressive kids in general in that freshman class though.

As far as the topic being about the game, yes. There was an article posted in the 4th largest city in the United States largest newspaper about PNG today. Didn’t say anything at all about the kids or community, I’m kind of actually pulling for PNG since we don’t have to play them anymore. I just responded to the “woke” comment with what’s probably the ... point of view which the article was about. Y’all can get back to it though👋🏾

I think there's a good chance Lancaster gets Longview this year. I watched both of LV's games with McKinney Boyd and Marshall and Lancaster looks better on the hoof and also faster. LV's QB still forces it to Hale and I think they're running game with Tatum is containable. They're probably smaller than FB Marshall on the defensive line and while they're dbs are highly rated it seems like there's still a good amount of space for receivers to make plays in the secondary if there's a competent QB that can get it to them. On the flip side though, their collection of talent is so great that it really doesn't matter what they have going on right now. -
Interesting take. Nearly 55 million Native Americans were killed throughout the Americas. PNG literally plays in a stadium whose nickname is the result of that. PNG built an entire culture around a sect of people who wouldn't have even been able to go to their school when they chose that mascot. Maybe "American Indians" just want to "take their heritage back", same as the people who would refer to them as "woke" want to do in the rest of the US. Not that I personally care one way or the other, I just follow the Chronicle and it came across my timeline. Something I thought was interesting.

Looks like Tonto wants his royalties for every time y’all play Cherokee🤷🏾♂️

Lancaster vs SOC mash up: -
That's the stuff I was eluding to, especially the offensive line. They have some legit personnel but that being said, if BH doesn't blow Sterling out it's probably going to have more to do with BH playing mediocre than Sterling playing over their skis.

Game highlight from last week:
-
Lol, I don't like to get bends in my pants creases. The BH guys that work for me take care of all the valve turning when I need them to. We're good on righty tighty, lefty loosey in Crosby. We learn that working on hot rods in the driveway and trying to fix the PTO on the brush hog. Y'all need to have some outreach classes at Sterling, Lee and Dayton when most of Mont Belvieu's population originates.

Just take your ball and go home and you don't have to worry about it. We'll be there to kick y'all's arse in 9 days.

My bad, didn't mean to put your personal business out there.

My post was about FOOTBALL because this is a FOOTBALL message board. It doesn't matter what I was talk about as long as it within the rules and about football. Everybody sees you for the idiot you are. You have the most posts in a CROSBY thread and NONE of them have ANYTHING to do with football. **Removed for violating site rules**

I actuality I think this game will be over by halftime. I’m just saying if Sterling has any hope of making it competitive it’s going to be with those big boys up front. Sterling has some decent personnel but just isn’t very well coached overall which seems odd considering their head coach is an LSU guy.
-
Just make sure you tell Chevalier he’s going to have to earn that defensive MVP award Dave Campbell’s picked him to win before the season started. You know those Crosby boys coming downhill:
-
One of Sterling's offensive linemen dad is in my fantasy football league. From what I understand Sterling should have the biggest offensive line in the district by a good margin. This particular kid is 6'1" 310lbs and he said he's the second smallest o-linemen besides the center. He said they had absolutely nothing on defense though? Will be interesting to see how well the Rangers can use that offensive line to shorten the game this week?

I work with about 10 parents who have children in various BH athletic programs. The source of the information from my post is sitting in the stadium with my sons and watching BH play Montgomery.
-
I wish I was exaggerating because I think BU has a lot of potential and some of those kids just need some wins in life in general but they're tough to watch right now. I used the HISD example because I watched Madison play and while they're not great they actually look like a varsity football team. BISD needs to really give the new coach some time to change the culture, as in two or three years with no expectations of positive results as long as they're showing improvement. Watching them play it's a lot more of a rebuilding job than I thought. That's why I'm really not sure how much PNG can take from that game?

What's wrong with Vidor and Nederland?
Cougar14.2 replied to Mr. Buddy Garrity's topic in High School Football
You can analyze it a bunch of different ways but at the end of the day I don't think the Dogs have the dogs they used to, especially at the line of scrimmage. Ned used to be violent in the trenches. You could make the argument that they were the best 5A team in the trenches in the coverage area from 2011-2015. I've noticed lately that they've been short on those guys and for whatever reason their overall skill players have fallen off from the days of Seay, Hopkins and Kimler. I want to say in 2012 when Crosby and Ned played Ned was the bigger school? It's possible Ned is just in a spot where they're fighting through some stagnation in their enrollment. -
All of those are good statistics. YPC is a pretty much a personal stat though, I would replace it with "yards per play" and add a statistic for penalty yardage. Third down conversion statistics are also usually huge when determining the outcome of games.
-
For the first time ever I agree with @Separation Scientist. Last year Crosby and PAM kind of cancelled each other out at the skill positions and Crosby won the game at the line of scrimmage with guys like Cooper and Casey. I think when we get healthy we’re better at the skill positions this year than PAM and we’re still better than y’all at the LOS. Neither one of us are as good yet as we were last year at the LOS but I think the gap between Crosby and PAM is wider at this point this season. Wilson is a beast but he’s a different kind of good than Sanders. Both of PAM’s backs are nice but you need downhill runners against Crosby and neither one of those kids are. PAM receivers can go as usual but they’ve taken a step back from those dudes y’all had last year. Defense looks good but nobody put any personnel on y’all yet. That’s a month away though, we’ll see what we look like when we get there.
-
We’ll see what PNG looks like this week against another team who can execute plays at the varsity level? Lots of mistakes on offense and lots of guys out of position on defense during the PAM game. It was very impressive what PNG was able to do to BU’s personnel but I think PNG needs to get through this week before you can really start to estimate a trajectory for them. BU is a 5A level HISD football team and that may be doing a disservice to Houston Madison. PNG dispatched them exactly how they should’ve if they’re going to be a good team this year. During the summer I said I would be interested to see if PNG offense looked more like Katy’s or SLC’s? I said one place I thought PNG had been well above average recently was the offensive line and that a Katy style offense might highlight that. Well not only does it look like Katy, they’re running the patented zone play from under center that they’ll eventually throw the play-action off of. It’s also a staple play for Carthage. I eventually expect them to start running the crack-toss and the toss counter which are the other staple plays of Katy and Paetow. One thing I saw in both games is that PNG still needs to get better at tackling in space and sticking with guys in the secondary. They probably have the personnel to make a real run at a district championship though. #19 for PNG is a baller but Prosperie is still PNG’s best offensive weapon. For whatever reason he kind of seems like an afterthought in PNG’s new offense. That being said, that’s a hard point to argue when you put up 49. Again though, you want to see them do it against a competent team.

Yet again, you take time out of your day to come over to a Crosby thread and provide non-football posts. All three of your posts in this thread have nothing to do with football. See how this starts every time?
-
Crosby is the subject of BH’s highlight videos, tweets from the head coach and general conversation. There must have been at least five BH fans that walked up to me and my sons to say something about the Crosby game they either attended or watched on TV. People talk about Crosby in other threads also. We just haven’t been bottom feeders in recent years so we understand it comes with the territory.

Sitting out here at practice it looks like one of the defensive linemen and one of the receivers will be a full go this week. Other running back and receiver are suited up too but don’t look ready to fully contribute. Starting to look kind of promising if we can stay on the same path.
