Spoke with Coach Lane this morning and one of the Brenham soccer players was killed in a car accident after leaving a family dinner on saturday night. Please pray for his family and the coaches and teamamtes of this young man.

I am very disappointed in the style of play that the English played in this tournament. It seems like they sat too far back in the defensive third and expected rooney (who in my opinion was nothing spectacular ) to bail them out. Portugal and Spain should be a good game. I just hope Torres gets the nod to start. Germany will beat Italy 3-0 leaving a Spain v Germany final that almost everyone expected. Germany wins 1-0 as Spain plays keep away all game but forget to take a shot on goal. lol

Poland v russia game has been one of the most exciting games so far. Disappointed in the france /england game.

BoYs end 3-2 south wins again

Srry about not getting the rosters out early enough. We had several late drop outs and additions. I will tell you that thre are over 60 kids playing today. I pretty much put this together without alot of help and i have been pretty swamped. Girls start at 11. Boys will follow at 1. Tickets are only 5 dollars to get to watch two exciting games. Hope to see you guys out there.

truth ??? are you saying that Lumberton girls would do just as good without Coach Hopson? I hope I am misunderstanding you. Yes Lumberton has recreational programs but Lumberton has had more success in the last 5 years since he has coached than any other coach that has been here? 5 straight district championships, 2 area championships, a winning playoff record and a regional coach of the year award...To say that winning just because of recreational programs rather than coaches seems a little absurd. Once again I apologize if I have misunderstood you.

Not really sure what you mean squeaked by livingston. They were playing a defensive set which made it very hard to score. The kid was shoving our forwardwith both hands in the back inside the box. Would not call that a gift. As for nederland, a very young and talented team who will be very good in the next year or so. As i recall png only won the second time around by a score of 2-0, they beat Central, and the went to overtime with Vidor.  why then is it "squeaking by" when we win by 2 goals. Nederland is better than their record shows.
