Jasper has made the playoffs 14 or 15 straight years...thats a pretty dad-gum good streak right there

Jasper proved size does not matter at the state tournament.  Physically, they appeared by far to have the the smallest athletes of any of the four 3a teams.  From the looks of some of the teams you would have thought they were playing a college or professional team.  The LE shortstop was 6-4 for goodness sakes.     And the pitcher they started against Jasper appeared to be almost as tall.

Yet we now know what the Dogs did with their little guys.    

However, it is a fact of life that there is a prejudice against the smaller players.   >

That L.E. Shortstop's size (along with other things) got him into ATM, and also got him drafted in the 5th round

Middlebrook could bring the ball.  He was warming up behind home plate before the game.  When you see someone throwing 90+ from close range it gives you an appreciation for trying to bat against MLB pitchers.  Middlebrook might have beaten Jasper I don't know.  Sinton put up a few runs on him.  I don't know if LE could have scored against Parson or Reagan with a healthy arm. 

NO it wouldn't have been a different story, even if you pitched middlebrooks you only scored 4 runs and with LE's 4 errors it wouldn't have been enough to hold Jasper back...no way...uncontested champions of 3A...no if's and's or but's about it...

Congrats Travis and Coach Mixon...they both deserved it

For sure...after Jasper took the district crown from them, and THEN knocked them out of the playoffs, there will definently be some bad blood between the two...

Rivalry's just make the game better

Greg Maddux is like that too.  Parson isn't overpowering but he sure mixes up his pitches well.  Hats off to the coach in the dug out call the pitches as well.

As far as tomorrow goes..I would think that if Reagen's arm is 100% he has to start the game.  I would expect that he will be on a very short leash with Ellis and Stephenson available.

What makes parsons so good is not only location, but he knows, and will throw any pitch on any count. You can't sit on anything from him

I don't know much about bridge city...but does Meeks just pitch...I could be wrong, but I cant recall seeing him hit, or play in the field...But I'm not sure
