Tigers finish district with an 11-1 record. Job well done to all coaches and players. I may be mistaken, but I think this is their first DC since 2014.

Down 4-3 in the bottom of the 8th and with 2 outs, Crosson goes yard with a 3-run bomb. The previous two batters were down to their last strike and each got on. Great pitching from Byars and Ocegura, and the defense was solid. Great effort from all of the girls. There is now a three-way time for first between Silsbee, BC, and LCM.

Silsbee moves to 25-4 / 7-2 with a win over BC tonight. Madde Byars with 4 hits, 4 RBI’s, and 5 strong innings in the circle. Big game vs LCM in Silsbee on Tuesday. LCM 8-1 Beat Silsbee and BC in 1st matchups Silsbee 7-2 Split w/BC - Lost game 1 to LCM BC 7-2 Split w/Silsbee - Lost game 1 to LCM If Silsbee wins out, they will likely play the BC/LCM game 2 winner in a tiebreaker for the district championship. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I knew Madi was doing really well, but had no idea her numbers were that strong. Good pitching/defense wins championships, and she’s our best.

Silsbee goes 6-0 at the Franklin Tournament to extend their winning streak to 16 games. They are now 18-2 on the season. 7 of their 8 home runs in this tournament were by Freshmen. Shelby Crosson led the way with 4. They outscored their opponents 51-13. Central Heights 5-4 Bedford 18-1 Lufkin 8-1 Riesel 13-4 Gatesville 13-4 Groveton 2-1

Silsbee starts off the Franklin tourney by going 3-0 yesterday. Shelby Crosson with 2 more home runs, which brings her season total to 6. Rountree hit one as well. They currently stand at 15-2. Both losses were by a combined total of 4 runs, including a 5-2 defeat at the hands it Orangefield. They will continue tourney play in the gold bracket tomorrow.

Very well could have. We were really good in 12’.

Silsbee beat 6A top 10 Summer Creek 3-2 today in tournament play. The girls are very young and are off to a hot start. Freshmen starting at short, 3rd, and RF. 16 + home runs already and the defense is improving. Let’s keep it going.

I didn’t see him play last year, so I can’t tell you if there has been any improvement.

Great season, girls and coaches. The future looks bright with 8 starters returning. All 3 pitchers will be back and 3 coming up from Junior High that could contribute.

Correction. Games will be played at Huntsville High School. Friday at 7 and Saturday at 12. Game 3 will follow game 2 if necessary.

Silsbee girls advance to the 3rd round for only the 3rd time in school history. Next up is Salado. All games will be played in Navasota..
