Per usual, obsession is noted. Those guys just can't let go. Ever... Poor aggy and Cajun aggy.

Vidor's new hire as head basketball coach
TxHoops replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Boys Basketball
Very sorry to hear about your son. We appreciate you sharing and he and your family will be in many of our prayers. I don't know Sterling at all. I did think his teams the last few seasons underperformed. I can also attest that a kid I know very well was not planning on playing anymore until he left. This is a great kid from a great family who is very athletic and would be a contributor on most teams in this area. I am happy to see him playing again. -
his little brother Makur Maker isn't bad either!

Eh, I guess. In the same vein as I might "potentially" be going out with Sofia Vergara this weekend -
Silsbee Basketball Schedule, 2015-16
TxHoops replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Boys Basketball
They aren't beating Central with or without the giant. Great schedule though, including the tournament line up. If they don't get rusty through the lull of district play, they should be playoff ready. -
one of the greatest posts in the history of the HSBB board.

The Horns will land Allen. He needs to get stronger but I am sure they will get him there. Saw Ridley and Shaq Cleare last weekend and those guys are huge.

Sweet. And with Aggy math (or system of claiming championships), we have 14 or 15 so...

HJ will struggle mightily this year after losing their top-notch head coach to Bridge City. Wait, wrong sport...

What an idiot if true. Saban's daughter is good looking but Kiffin's wife is smokin' hot.

Mack - not sure if you're old enough to remember the old ESPN series "Sidelines" that was to be a season show covering the Ags when Mark Farris was the QB (early 2000s I think). Pretty good concept where they were going to cover a different team each season. Kind of like Hard Knocks but for an entire season. Wish that one had continued.

Most encouraging thing I've read in months. One of the biggest dips in the history of our program and the golden age for aggy football (in the non-leather helmet era), and the recruiting is still basically even? Oh the clock is ticking my friends, it is ticking. Enjoy the heightened state of mediocrity while it lasts...

#adidaslife Take solace in Nike and Under Armour taking a big pass on little brother...

The guardian is friends with someone who heard of their plight and was trying to get them out of a bad situation by finding someone who could give them a home while they are in the states.

There were a lot of circumstances regarding these kids that are not appropriate for discussion here and frankly none of the general public's business. I am sure the DC and UIL will be apprised of their situation there and here. Suffice it to say they are in a much better place here and are beyond happy to be here and not there. And none of what brought them here is even remotely their fault.
-
I have no idea how this is so hard to understand.
-
AAW - Your questions are valid. There were a lot of issues that aren't appropriate to discuss on an Internet forum. But there are circumstances that may work in their favor with the UIL. We shall see. Regardless, they are getting good experience practicing at Central which should help them in their goals.

Speaketh the queen of moral victories... Congrats? i was speaking football of course...not fĂștbol.

I feel for you. Just glad I was alive for our last championship...

The Aggies should win this one fairly easily. If not, could be another disappointing season.

glad you know what you're talking about. And by "know what you're talking about," I mean you don't know your behind from your elbow. Stereotype all you want, but like any form of the practice, it comes from ignorance. These kids are being taken care of here because they came to the states hoping for a better life and were placed in a situation that wasn't much better. Their "guardian" or "handler" will spend thousands of dollars feeding, clothing and housing them so hopefully they can get a free education down the road. He is not paid to do so. But please continue to educate us on these people of whom you obviously know nothing about.

I won't go into details but the kids were in a bad situation in Atlanta. I can tell you they are thrilled to be where they are now.
