I really wish they would bracket the teams at the CWS based on seeding. I get LSU and Arkansas were the 3 and 6 seeds but they also the two highest seeds remaining. Just seems like they would make for a better overall tournament not having arguably the two best teams remaining play in the first round.

Thank you for your admission that you have just been trolling this past year and that you do, in fact, agree with those of us who think the powers that be have Lamar going in the right direction. Kind of a weird thing to troll about but to each his own. No one has said there isn’t room for improvement (there always is) or that the Southland conference is a juggernaut (although we all agree Lamar is situated and competing against schools it should be competing against). But I believe Jeff O’Malley was a home run hire unlike some of the previous ADs (certainly including his immediate predecessor). This is also directly attributable to Lamar President Jaime Taylor who I also believe is the best Lamar has had at that position in decades. I too would love to see Lamar win their tournament and get to play a game in March Madness (they aren’t upsetting a top 20 team like McNeese did unless they get a few million a year to go out and buy players like the Cowboys are able to do), or get to play in a regional NCAA baseball tournament. But just because you don’t finish first doesn’t mean your season is a failure. “If you ain’t first, your last,” after all, was the mantra of a fictional character in a comedy that was premised on what an embecile he was.

That game was 3 points at half and was nip and tuck in the second half until late when Lamar was forced to foul and free throws widened the final margin. AS IS OFTEN THE CASE IN BASKETBALL. Anyone who has any knowledge of the game, or actually knows what they are looking at when watching the game, knows this. Someone who likes to wager on the game, has benefitted or been screwed by late game free throws in an otherwise very tight game routinely. That’s basketball. Which you continue to make very evident you have virtually know understanding of. I am guessing you also ask the person sitting next to you at a game, if you have ever attended one, why free throws are free?

You said they certainly don’t compete well in conference tournaments, which was just a flat out idiotic statement to make when you grouped in basketball specifically. Losing in the finals of the conference tournament and finishing second in the regular season to a team with a $2-3M payroll and a coach who earned over $1M this past year, while also playing them close 3 times. Are you actually a moron or do you just play one online?

Well duh! Do you expect a college in Beaumont, Texas to be in a major conference? They are competing at the level they should be, against schools in similar market. The “big” sports finished 3rd, 2nd, and 3rd in a 12 team conference. I guess if your only definition of success is winning the conference tournament so you get a bid to the NCAA tournament, no one would ever meet your expectations. Texas won the similar trophy in the SEC and will likely win the Director’s Cup for the best athletics program in the country yet again. This is in no small part to Chris Del Conte being the best in the biz imo. Jeff O’Malley is not a good AD, he’s a great one. I would not want him in charge of the athletics department at a school I didn’t like, that had real money pumped into their athletics department.

By almost every quantifiable metric, he’s the worst president of the last 75 or so years, probably longer. He did some nice things in the Middle East but the economy was the worst it has been since the Great Depression. His biggest flaw was hiring the help. As a person though, it’s an even farther divide in my opinion. The other way.

Yes he may have been the worst president of my lifetime. He was also easily the best ex-president. No one did more good with their time after being in office than that guy. If I could bet on one ex-president for sure being in heaven, it’s that guy.

Trump long has ties to Epstein. He’s definitely traveled with him, we just don’t know if he’s been to the island. And I’m just as confident there have been plenty of Dems on those flights as well. Trump being a perv shouldn’t surprise anyone. Dude has given off perv vibes his whole life until he “became a Christian” right about the time he wanted to lead the country. Likewise, hair-smelling Joe Biden is creepy as hell too. The only president of my lifetime I would confidently say wasn’t a perv was Carter. And he might have been the worst in office. But also probably the finest man we elected. I tend to think W is a pretty solid guy as well. The rest of them I definitely wouldn’t trust around my daughter.

Those with TDS and TWS (worship) amuse me equally. Ted Cruz doesn’t dine at my house and I’ve never met the man. But someone close to me who often entertains him and others like him will tell you, and has been nicely telling the rubes naively hoping this goofy theory is true, that it assuredly is not the case. But I get why you would want it to be.
