Benders is definately one of the most internationally known baseball players in the world. He played in Aphganistan, Taiwan, South America, and Africa this summer. He was asked to play on the first ever Anarctica team, but declined b/c of his contract with the Fightin Macabees. He is now on Buna's JV, gettin a no no every other outing. He's unbelievable!!!

well i started the thread so i've just been trying to answer peoples questions about the freshmen teams... plus im an HJ freshmen... not on the b-ball team but i know all of them... so i take alot of interest in this...

It is hard for me to believe that someone would begin a post with "I heard somethng about".  If you don't know it don't post it.  What is this, a beauty shop?  The man is not perfect, but please remember there are two sides to every story.  If you have been in the coaching profession for very long you will find out that sometimes players and coaches stories don't exactly match.  Did anyone ever think maybe the player was a little disgruntled about playing time.  Maybe he was even a little league all-star who thought he was the next Derek Jeter.  I'm just saying lets don't jump to conclusions.

IDK if you want to go game by game I think BC can beat Liberty, Kelly, win in a clsoe one against H-J, Orangefield, and H-F.. ANd would lose agaisnt Lumberton,Jasper,Silsbee, Kirbyville, WO-S..Not saying that BC can't surprise everyone with good excecution, a good gameplan, etc. and go undefeated because anything can ahappen on any given night, but that's my prediction....

I heard something about Coach Billy Bryant throwing away A scholarship letter that he got in the mail from McNeese State Universitythat was  for on his players on the 2005team that was on Varsity...after that he told the kid that he wasn't good enough to play there  after he put the letter in the trash can....The boy was really really ticked and that's what started to get kids to bash on COach Bryant...... THe next year the kid didn't play his Senior Year of baseball because of what happened.....So Bryant has at least kept one kid from going to college and a year of high school......... >

No one knows yet.... we'll have to see how all the judicial stuff works out, if i'd have to guess i'd think stump would let him come back and play his senior year, but if he doesn't come back Bridge City's got plenty of other capable players with speed and size.
