He can free up space if he needs too. You can cut players from the team at the end of year if they aren't performing at an expected level. Academics or disciplinary issues during the year can be reasons to cut a kid loose.

I think they will see post season play this year. I'm not banking on Mudiay going there until he signs his letter of intent. If he does he'll be a one and done but it is very possible for a be BIG year for SMU. Come on...we're talking about the great Larry Brown.

Doesn't hurt Coach Cal at all. Wiltjer just isn't on the same level as the group of post players Cal is bringing in. For Cal that is one less player to worry about getting minutes. I'm not a big Kentucky fan but I really like this team this year and their balance just got better (in my opinion).

People are sad. A [b]kid[/b] makes a life changing decision that is best for [b]him[/b] and people find it necessary to make him feel like less of a person because he didn't choice the school they're a fan of. Jabari Parker had the same thing happen to him when he choice Duke. If you are so involve with sports that you are willing to make death threats or belittle a [b]kid[/b] you need some serious help. But great for Wiggins. Good fit and a great coach to develop under. I really liked how he handled the announcement as well.

Great pick up in my opinion. Just of the potential.

I understand Tubby Smith came in to UK when it was a really hot program but it takes a lot to maintain a program like that and he did. All his other jobs he was successful so I expect and hope for the same at Tech. Tech needs not just a quality coach but a quality person. Good hire. I was hoping they picked up Keith Frazier from Kimball HS but he went with ol Larry Brown and SMU.

I wonder how that will affect Wiggins?? Can't see him going to a stacked team like this. I kind of want him to go to his parents alma mater at Florida State to see him play against Jabari Parker at Duke a couple of times next year. The bad thing about that is FSU is not all that great.

I'm all about hardcore coaches but this wwwaaayyy to much and very unnecessary. Fire him! Doesn't deserve to coach any level of basketball.

Good move on his part. I just don't see him getting any playing time behind Andrew Harrison. Crazy travel though. First went to NC State, transferred to Kentucky and sat out a year, disappointing year at UK, and now has to sit another year before playing at Georgia St (unless he gets a pass because of his dad).

I picked Louisville before the season started and I picked them in my bracket (which is destroyed!). Sticking with them. I'm going with Louisville and Michigan. High scoring game...87-82 Louisville.

I don't see it. All of those players look like your normal overlooked talent. A bunch of kids that probably had a couple of scholarship offers out of high school or JUCO. Now if they had a couple Rivals or ESPN top 100 players on the team. Maybe. I doubt there will be any recruiting violations there. Plus, have you seen their campus??? Can't blame them for wanting to go there.

I'm okay with giving the national player of the year to Burke just off this game! Not that his season wasn't great because it was but a explosive 2nd half with a 28 foot 3 pointer to send your team in to OT. Wow.

Their not bringing in notable recruits either. Rough times ahead.

Man, if Wiggins go to UK that would be a crazy lineup. Just wonder if Coach Cal can create enough offensive opportunities to make everybody happy.

Completely agree with the Top 3 ranking for pre season. Florida is going to be really good next year, as always. I can see them tripping up once or twice in non conference play just because of the dept of new faces (but that might not matter at all). Surprised to see Wiltjer coming back. Thought he would take his chance on the draft with the dept of bigs coming in.

Lol. My prediction was way off! I got to get my prediction game on track for my bracket. Watching the selection show now. The first bracket shown is going to be tough for my national champion pick (Louisville).

I'm a big fan of Georgetown and I hope they win but I think Syracuse is crazy hot! Mainly Sutherland. I got a Louisville vs Syracuse championship. Also got a feeling Louisville will win it all this year.

Calling an upset with NC State over Miami (FL) tomorrow. Very interested to see if Duke and UNC meet up in the semifinals.
