From what I was told they could've won by a bigger margin. I have kinfolk that goes to Yates and an Uncle who coaches football and track there.

Dallas Madison has to go to overtime to beat a team that had to go to overtime to beat HJ. If HJ shoots better from the freethrow line or cuts down on their uncharacteristic high number of turnovers, they beat LE. In some eyes, including mine, HJ wasn't the "best" team in Region III but they did what no other team in 3A did, beat 3 ranked teams to get to Austin. They were more than deserving of representing Region III in Austin. Dicky, you can argue that Region I or II has the best "team" as in singular, the last 10 years or so, but not the best Region as a whole. I agree. Even though there were only two titles in 3A in the last 15 years or so. I really think that Region 3 was the best by whole. I really think HJ should have won state when they make it there but they ran out of gas. And did what no other team in state did BEAT 3 Ranked teams. Silsbee could have matched up well with Estacado and beat them by double digit in my opinion. Dallas Madison just had an easier way to get to state. There were more state ranked teams in region 3 than any other region in 3A. So playing the tougher route to state made it tough to win state cause u run out of gas sooner or later.

Congrat HJ on a great run to state. Yall deserve it this year. I am a true tiger fans and I don't banish other team. Seriously ST4Life cut it out. It getting old.

They did what everyone said that they could not do......beat Navasota, Cleveland, Hudson and then Jasper who beat your beloved Tigers. Will they win state??? Maybe, maybe not!!!! But to say that they have been lucky is being a sore loser on your part!!!! I did not see Navasota and Cleveland, but based on those teams' records I think without a doubt HJ had the toughest road to state, and they made it. Luck had nothing to do with it. I wish them the very best in Austin. I certainly would not bet any money against them. I am a Silsbee fans and I agree that HJ had a tougher road to state. But both HJ and Silsbee knew what road would be easy and hard when they were playing for the seeding right after district. Silsbee wanted the easier road to state so they played hard to beat HJ in the third game. HJ played #9 Navasota, #7 Cleveland, and #20 Lufkin Hudson and won all three games by no more than 3 points a piece. Silsbee played Cameron Yoe and Coldspring both non ranked team. They knew what they were doing. Until they both played Jasper

At least I'm in the top quarter. KP we tied up man just like Silsbee and HJ did in district. That fate. :D

I will be one of the Silsbee fans to state that I did overlook Jasper at first. But after seeing all these thread thursday about Silsbee already won the game I had a gut feeling that something was about to happen tonight. Congrat Silsbee on a tremendous season and Jasper great game last night. I apologize to anyone if I sounded like a homer and was being messy on here all season. Shannon, Nick, Josh, Brady and Keilon yall keep yall heads up. I am proud of yall no matter what. Yall will always be my boys and keeping playing basketball yall have too much talent not to do something with them at the next level. Damn I gonna miss seeing yall play ball. Most of yall being playing together for I don't know how long and still today you were playing. I love yall and keep doing yall thing.

I'm proud of my Tigers. Those seniors are my classmate and I feel bad that they have their season ended shorter than they wanted. Keep yall heads up. Any teams would still love to be where yall are right now. :'( :'( :'(
