1. The Indians pitching has been outstanding all season with none of them seniors. I think they will handle Summer Creek.
 2. Watched the 7 on 7 scrimmage yesterday with WB. Really liked the enthusiasm by the Indians. Passing game really looked good with Walker and Morse on the money. Of course nothing really matters until you put the pads on, but they moved the ball like slicing through butter. PNG is going to be very young, but they have a lot of talent.
 3. Ledoux should be the starter for the Indians. I believe if the Indians bats come alive, they will go pretty far.
 4. They scrimmage H-F and Texas City. Most of their skilled postion players play baseball, and with both potential QB's playing baseball, spring ball really wouldn't give them any advantage, but they do have 7 on 7 which will get the QB's and WR's on the same page. The extra scrimmage will give them a head start for the tough pre-season they have. I like their schedule. They will be ready for district with a quality pre-season.

Might get interesting!!!
 6. PNG will probably pitch Ashworth on Friday against Livingston. Ledoux hopefully will be ready for the first playoff game. They also have Morse and Woods who could help Friday if needed. Do we know who Livingston will throw Friday?
 7.
I'm old school. It should be 2 teams.  District Champion and Runner up. Period.
+1, it's getting too much like "every kid gets a trophy these days" and it's all about the $$$$

 10. PNG had 5 or 6 Errors in the College Station game. CS had only Freshman and Sophmores playing because they are a new school. If the Indians don't correct their errors, it could be a long season.
 11.

Brook has now played or scrimmaged most of the teams in the district.  As a non-biased observer, it seems to me that Nederland is clearly better than the others.  PNG, Livingston, LCM and Vidor seem about equal.  They all have decent pitching and average hitting.  Ozen has a nice pitcher, but they need more players.  I don't see them being in the hunt.  Haven't seen Central, but I assume they are still Central.
Yes, I agree that Nederland is clearly above the rest as it stands now. They have a dominant arm in Sanderson and have the offense that is capable of putting up crooked numbers against anyone. LCM will always be in contention but I dont know if they have enough talent to win games away from the matchbox they play their home games in. PNG has underperformed IMO but if Ashworth gets rolling then this team should win just about every game he throws in. Vidor has some pitching but is also underperforming IMO and their offense is just too inconsistent. Lumberton is inconsistent in every facet of the game it seems , and I dont believe they have the stud arm to win low scoring games against other top aces. Ozen and Livingston are both good when their #1 is on the mound but they just dont have enough around them to be consistent. And Central is Central but hopefully they will take steps in the right direction this season. Six days and counting!
This statement should read.... PNG has underperformed IMO but as long as Ledoux continues rolling then this team should win just about every game he throws in. Rake1
Na, I'm going to stick with my previous statement. Clearly Ledoux is already rolling right now and the Indians have been great with him on the bump. But that being said, (depending on how your schedule falls) having a 1-2 you can throw out there and be the favorite every night is the key in district play. I picked PNG to win district this year back in January and if Ashworth can get on a roll (and if Ledoux can continue doing what he has done) I think there is a good chance this team could give Nederland a run for the 20-4A title.
Ledoux is the obvious starter right now with the Freshman Leckich being 2nd, and Ashworth 3rd. IMO. Ive seen them all pitch and as of now, and based on their performance so far, that should be the order. Too many walks for Ashworth up to this point, but he looked alot better the last game against Arlington.
 12. Todays games cancelled. :(  Will update later about tomorrow.
 13. I think he doesn't have him there due to arm strength. Just a guess. He would be 2nd base anyway at the next level. Bats have alot to do with it also I'm sure. Whatever's best for the team.
 14. PNG vs Deer Park has moved to 2pm at Deer Park. I'm assuming all games have moved.
 15.
Shuggart and Guidry looked very good for BC as did LeDoux and the Freshman Leckich. BC lit Ashworth up pretty good. I was kind of shocked to see Saatzer playing 2nd instead of SS. They may have to move him back to SS. Good game to get the season started.
They have Ky Walker and the Freshman Adam Morse playing short now. Saatzer is a great 2nd baseman. Leckich did look very good. Game today at deer park has moved to 1:30.
 16. Heard this morning from person who talked to Coach Faircloth and he was contacted for an interview, but he turned them down. He wants to stay at PN-G. No doubt he knows what talent he has coming so i dont blame him
 17. No doubt he will have to earn it. Nothing is ever given to any athlete.Thats what offseason is all about, getting stronger and faster and out working the rest to be the best.
 18.
PNG doesn't have a fullback. Halfin will be the starting "R" back and Blake Lane is the starting "H" back. Several coaches and players have told me that Walker has already been named the starter. In fact, they say Morse'name has not even been mentioned. Walker will be the starter at QB and also play corner. Lemoine will be his back-up. Should Walker get hurt then Morse will be brought up from JV. Several offensive starters will be playing defense as well like Rose, Murdock, Sparks.
Didn't realize we were getting technical on the position names. I knew what they are really called, but alot of people refer the H to a fullback. And I'm not sure what coach you got your info from, but i heard different from another varsity coach. I was told Giblin and Morse will be on Varsity next year along with 3 other to be Sophomores, but hey, we shall see. I believe coach will put the best talent on the field no matter what. That Morse kid is 6' 190 lbs and has a great arm with great instincts and knowledge of the game. The Giblin kid is around 6'3 now and has great hands and from what I'm hearing will be a WR next year. Looking forward to a better season next year!
 19.
Johnny, your first post contains bad information. The starting runningback will be Halfin. This will be his first experience on varsity. The starting QB will be Walker, also a junior who earned the starting position last year until injured. PNG will also have many other juniors starting such as Blake Lane, Kaleb Sparks, Avery Murdoch, Blain Peveto and Michael Hughes. The PNG coaching staff (including Faircloth) have already informed the players and are working them in off season accordingly. Many of the players have been told to prepare to play both ways.
The running back was never mentioned, only the fullback, and yes Halfin should get the start at RB. Second, I don't see him playing Walker as starting QB and CB, thats why I think the Morse kid gets the nod, with Walker playing some QB as a Wildcat/ short yardage QB.
