1.
Wish Ned would play in this, they would win it easily
. Seriously??? If you saw the talent some of these teams have you would take that statement back.
2. Lumberton lost to Kingwood Park, PNG beat John Tyler 31-26. Tyler Lee plays Lufkin, PNG plays Whitehouse for semifinals
3. PNG beat Atascocita 25-21, and Lufkin B 35-20. Next up for them is John Tyler. Lumberton lost to Lufkin. Lufkin beat kingwood Park, John Tyler beat Atascocita
4. Does anyone have this schedule for this Saturday? I know PNG is in it, but would like to see who else and times....
5.
In the state of Texas, football is the event and every other activity is a sport.Took me a while to realize that the AD job rest on how the football team competes. If all the other sports do well it is a bonus for the AD but it is not his primary focus. The system is set up for the AD's to have a football first mentality. It is easy to bash the AD's until you put yourself in their shoes. Most people would do what it takes to keep a job.Good luck on PNG finding a baseball coach that can keep the parents and fan base happy.
Not sure what your talking about here. I went to a lot of their games this year and never heard of any parenting issues..... Sure he had some issues with some seniors, but they are gone now. This group coming up will make the future coach smile.... ;)
6. I'm pretty sure i heard Coach Faircloth had a come to Jesus with the few. He doesn't put up with that.
7. From what I'm hearing there was one ref that was giving PNG hell consistantly during both games. Calling holding continually without calling both ways and the boys held their composure as long as they could until it was enough. Also, this one ref was calling a penalty for the man in motion not being past the tackles before the ball was snapped. Cant say i understand that one at all. I would hate to know this Ref just had it out for a school. Did anyone witness these events? :o
8. Watered down the way i see it, just like allowing 4 teams in the playoffs. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! It has less meaning to have more than one in each position.  ???
9.

PNG is excited because they beat our number 2 team that's mostly 8the graders. Boys havea long way to go IMO. The coach is over here talking about "whew, more to come baby". He must mean 20-4a losses. 8)
Love how you always have "insight". ::)
IJS, don't talk about SC and the way they act when your varsity kids are hollering "our house" over and over and they're playing on the middle school field. Most of those kids on that team are 13 and 14.
Just to make things clear, the PNG team that won the JV tournament at the middle school was this years Freshman team.
10. Galena Park North Shore? Kincaid is what class?
11. Heard there is a 7 on 7 tournament this saturday in Crosby. Anybody have any info on this with teams and times?
12. We are all about to see the beginning of good times for PNG football. They have young talent starting next year and will be really good in the next few years.  ;D
13.

Both teams are Eagles and both are blue and white. Gonna need a program for this one.
Looks like Georgetown wears the Camo uni's, so they won't be hard to find.... or will they ;D
The Camo Uni's were cool looking though.
14. BH should sweep them in 2 games. BH better be ready for small ball. They small balled PNG to death and mistakes killed the Indians trying to field them. Goergetown has some good hitters also, but wasn't impressed with their defense.
15. Looks like we are fixing to get hammered again with rain. Going to be real hard to find a dry field unless you drive for 6 hours  :-\
16. No doubt Soulja, but the way they were so accurate and fired up, they will be a lot better than last year. Will really know how they are when preseason gets here and they decide which QB to go with. I've said all along that if their offensive/defensive lines do well, they will win more games than not.. We shall see.... It's what makes the start of football season so exciting is starving to see how all the teams start out. Ready for Football!
17. my pick is 7-3. Tough Predistrict and Nederland. But you never know.
18. If they want to play sports in the UIL they should go to school there.  ::)
19. Nice write up. The Indians will be very young with all underclassmen on Offense except a few linemen and Rose from what I'm told. The defense will be young also, with a lot of speed. I think their success will be determined from what the guys do in the trenches.
20. Nedeland will probably start Preston White at QB. I know they have Seau and Krautz working at WR, and they have some linemen coming back, as their Def has quite a few coming back too. They should be the team to beat in 20-4A. But, you never know....
21. might come down to a one gamer with the rain.... I will take BH either way. Too many good hitters on that team.
22. I see where there is 70% chance of rain on Friday and Saturday. Surely they will move this game to tomorrow to make sure they get it in?????? :o  Thoughts?
23.
Morse won't even be in the mix...Walker is outstanding!
LOL...what family member are you!? first post so happen too.... That coach has two options... 1. Go with the junior QB that is 5'7" 150 lbs, 2. Go with a sophmore QB that is 6' 190 lbs? Both threw the ball very well and both run the same 40 time. I think it will be a good competition with the one who moves the offense the best winning the starting job. A lot of young talent on that team next year. I think both will be on the field no matter what.  8)
24. They have Murdock, Sparks, Rose with Wardlow at TE and Halfin at RB.
