  1. I was at the game. Warren come out ready to play and Hardin didn't!! Thats basically all there was. Hardin could not get an offensive drive together like they have been able too. Hardin's defense was outstanding for the most part. Warren had a few key turnovers that might of kept them in the game, but like I said Hardin's defense stepped it up tonight. I saw a little bit of what I am used to seeing in the 3rd quarter, but still not the same. Props to Warren for a good game, it was pretty much close the whole game. Good luck to Warren the rest of the season and lets just keep rolling Hornets!!!

And another thing, Warren got Nolan's second sack on the YEAR!! Congrats.

  4. Come on Hornets....Don't start talking a bunch of smack just yet.  You won your first game and that is great...However, you still have a lot to prove to yourselves and others.  The most important thing is to have respect on the field and off of the field.  Talking smack isn't going to earn you respect either place...I will be supporting you win or lose, but do yourselves a favor, lay off of the inflated egos.  It is still a little early in the season for it.

Exactly! Dont get me wrong I back Hardin 100% but Tarkington isn't as well prepared as Groveton and alot more teams to come. Take that first win with class and leave it at that. That is only one win keep it up throughout the year, then a little talking will be exceptable, but one game doesn't prove to much yet, other than the fact that Hardin has improved but still has a lot to provce.

  5.   Wow

"The program is in shambles, it's worse than terrible"

I sure would like for you to explain that comment.  Before you do, I would like to states some of the facts:

Two years ago the hornets were one game away from the playoffs in football and basketball.  The baseball team made the playoffs, and they had a state champ in track.

Last year once again the hornets were one game away from the playoffs in football and basketball.  The baseball team was co district champs in baseball.  Along with sending multiple athletes to regionals in track.

This year was tough.  The hornets were decimated by injuries.  At one point they had multiple freshman and sophomores starting on friday night.  Most of them had no varsity experience  Those kids played to the best of there ability and never gave up.

To me it sounds like you and your buddy are trying to place the blame solely on Coach Morgan and his staff.

I can't wait for an explanation

Definately not true!! In my opinion Coach Morgan was a good coach and a great person!

So what you are saying is Hardins program is doing good? This district is a very weak district in my opinion except for a few exceptions. Especially not in basketball. Hardin has been in the situation to make playoffs in several sports the last couple years, but whats the point really?

If they do make it they can't go farther than the first round. Nothing against Hardin at all but they can never show up at the right time and play as a team. And i think a change in Hardin may not make the kids play better, but maybe give them more numbers.

Haynes' reputation has brought very large numbers out for every sport, which is exactly what Hardin needs.

And there really isn't much coaching the state champ track guy. He was born with the abilty.

  6. I will agree with Marsh being solid. There best guard graduated ,think his name was Emieillo or something like that,No disrespect to the Hornets but if there depending on there JV players there in trouble.Several teams in this district will be improved but I'm not sure Hardin will be one of them.

You will be suprised. These kids have played together their whole lives and was split up going into high school. Its amazing how different they play when they are together again. All I'm saying is don't count Hardin out right now!

  7. Exactly! It is all about how the year went. If you have no shot at going to playoffs but have alot of kids coming back next year, you really need to start the underclassman. If this is a deciding factor on whether or not you get in the playoffs you start the senior. That is of course both pitchers are healthy.

  8. Not sure, but Hardin has the potential definately. They have great athletes still walking the halls. They would just rather not play sports though. Bleacher bum is right it needs to start in jr high, just as it has these past two years. When they play as a team, and play their hearts out, they are pretty dang good...just ask anahuac haha.
