Yes sir, we need to be playing you guys and Silsbee every year in pre-district to see where we stand in 4A overall. The WOS match up has been yearly but I think both teams are fine with keeping that scheduled as the last scrimmage.

Yep we are definitely some sharp shooters, don’t even have to aim. When we take a loss it’s is USUALLY a very close game 1 or 2 scores and occasionally get a big blowout win against teams that can’t stop the run, so the plus point diff makes sense.

I hear you, those backs are money. My son was able to take him down on the goaline once but he broke his helmet and got some battle scars in the process. He had to tackle those backs a lot last night, which isn’t a good thing because he plays deep safety. It was a good tough game and I think we will get better from it.

Did you break out the wildcat on them? When you get in a close game or need a drive, that thing is hard to stop with a guy like Limbrick running it.

I think it would have been a good game but the way Silsbee is playing idk. Their own fans are down on them right now, talks of a rebuilding year on that OF thread.

He’s definitely their workhorse, they gave it to him a lot against us but he wasn’t able to get going. Their best play was QB scramble run or throw it deep. Their defense wasn’t all that good though, so I’m not surprised Ltown was able to put up some points. I am surprised they won, good road win. That trip is brutal, my previous comment was about our trip to BC. My mistake y’all went to BP, that might be even farther lol.

I wish we would use the simple swing pass that every team uses against us. Every time we split a WR out wide it’s one on one with a corner. Put a good athlete in and just throw it out there to him, all he has to do is break one tackle. If the DB plays up throw the deep jump ball to him.

All I can tell you is if a first down run gets a good 5+ yards they are going to run it again. Same play on one, break. I also wish we would have mixed up the snap count a lot more against Jasper to keep their line somewhat off balance. Towards the end their linebackers were a yard off the line and shooting through the gaps before we could even get a block on them.

Mistakes were made, we gave BP a very short field on their scoring drives. They only had 170 total yards and we racked up 400 on the ground but couldn’t finish drives. We dominated that game and almost lost, same thing at BC it shouldn’t have been that close.

Vidor had all the momentum with the lead and a 4th down short yardage play from the Jasper 25 to start the 4th qtr. They fumbled the handoff exchange but those are the kind of mistakes we have been making at the worst times this season. Jasper took over and on the next play took it to the house to steal all the momentum. They like to line up in wildcat and spread you out with multiple receivers when all they really want to do is open up the middle of the field to run it with Limbrick. He split the safety’s and hit his head on the goalpost to take the lead. The guy had a hell of a night, he was crowned homecoming king but also had 200 yards and 2 touchdowns. Good win and with district play coming the L-Train is about to get some Ws. That drive is brutal, we decided to stay at the hotel across from the school for a night to avoid the round trip home after 1am.

It was enough, time to lick our wounds and get ready to steamroll district by as much as we want! lol kidding but I hope we do, I wouldn’t mind a couple of easy games these close ones are killing me.

4-3 if you count touchdowns lol we struggled quite a bit on the extra point and 2 point conversions but they did not. At least they didn’t win by as much as they want Reagan!

Two players we had no answer for were Limbrick and #4 they are a good combo. Power and speed from the big bruiser, quickness and elusiveness from the little shifty guy. Good thing we won’t see anything like that the rest of the year. Hopefully #74 Jasper and #43 Vidor will be ok come district play, both went out with injuries and didn’t come back.
