Just an old Coach

I remember when the YMBL tournament was huge. They had 4a/5a division and 3a-under division. We played in for a few years and was fun. Looks like it is going down hill.

I was a sophomore on that EC team, and that was one of the funnest games I ever played in.  That did change the shape of EC football for the next 15+ years.  I played DE that game, and must say Broom was a man.

It was Jeff Spikes from Burkevile.

From an old Buc, Congrats on a great season Bucs!!  Congrats to Coaches Hancock, Fontenot, and Dale, on a memorable season.  You had a cheering section up here at Harmony High today.

Jeff Lee"bo" is da man!!!

Congrats Coach Sutherland!! The man knows how to coach and get the best from each and everyone of his players.  I enjoyed my time playing for him.

Oh Bucfan there is more... Its funny that their kids were taking their helmets off on the field and that they basically coached from the hash marks the whole game and no flags were thrown.  Plus the mismanagement of the clock by the officials and the time keeper seems a little to hard to fathom.  The clock mysteriously stops on a running play but the play clock runs like normal.

Having coached against Troup this year, they are well balanced.  Their QB is a dangerous weapon and is hard to catch in the open field.  #50 and #34 are their best defensive players.  #34 is their best running back and probably their best all around player.  Their kicker is also a weapon because he can pin you deep.  All I can say is that the good thing is that EC doesn't have to come to Troup, where Dennis Alexander gets what he wants from the officials.  Take it to them EC.  Good Luck to the Bucs and all of my old coaching buddies down there( Coach East, Fontenot, Todd, Leday).
