Woodville 68 Anahuac 28 District Opener at The Eagle Summit for both. Lady Eagles were up 41-13 at half and were able to really get into their bench in the 2nd half.

2 Shooters that have been overlooked are Jayda Argumon and Shannon Whitehead from Woodville. Whitehead has unlimited range with her 3 pter and Argumon has the ability to shoot the mid range as well as the 3 Ball with an absolute pure shot.

They are down from year's past. They graduated both of there primary ball handlers and the 6'1 girl has been running the PG position is out now due to an ACL tear. The score was 35-2 at halftime and Woodville's pressure was just to much for them. Also noted Woodville's All State post player did not play in this game, she is cleared to go but needs to progress back into playing. I would expect to see her tonight vs Central Hts some and next week in the BCS tournament. Woodville worked all 1/2 ct stuff in the 2nd half.

Woodville 45 Timpson 44 Woodville's big post player tweaked her knee in warm ups and didn't play. The girls stepped up and battled through.

Jasper is def deserving of being on this list as well as United. It really surprises that neither is here YET. I think once Jasper plays HJ that they will get a little bit more notice.

I have Beaumont Kelly playing the Woodville tournament this weekend as well? Hmm, I wonder if the JV is going to Deweyville ?

Woodville 57 Huntington 33 Woodville's 2nd leading scorer was out this game, got hurt in the Cship game this past weekend but they made some adjustments and was able to get the Win.

Woodville 44-33 Klein Cain in the Championship game. It was quite a defensive battle. Klein was huge New Caney over Porter for 3rd Place by about 20 Jasper over Splendora 78-19 for 5th Place

As stated above Woodville 59-53 over Jasper and 59-24 over Huffman. Woodville was able to use there bench for most of the Huffman game. Woodville is starting to get back into basketball shape. Championship Game Woodville vs 6A Klein Kane @ Noon
