I know there are many others from Warren that have gone on to play college football.

This town has had lots of Lineman come through. But from what I understand several of the skill players have transfered to Woodville. You need lineman to win but they still need the athletes to carry the ball.

  2. I am all for supporting Coach Woodard and his staff. I especially feel that we should support the kids at Warren. They are athletes giving it all they have every day at practice and friday night. I respect the kids that go out and participate every week even though they may not be the most talented players on the field. It shows alot of courage to play at a school that rarely has a successful season. People may not respect them for their football talent, but they have to respect their COURAGE. I have alot more respect for the ones who continue to represent the Warren community on the field, than I do those who choose not to because of a poor record. It is hard to change that record if talented athletes refuse to play. So Warren boys go out and give Coach Woodard and your friends who have decided to play a fighting chance.
  3. Why is it that no-one knows who actually got interviewed for the Warren AD/HC job. Rumor has it that Mark Williams was offered the job before any interviews were even done. Now rumor has it that John Woodard of Ganado is going to be named AD/HC. Yet John Woodard is not even on the applicant list posted by the Beaumont Enterprise. DC at Ganado for 2 seasons with a good record, but previous job was as HC at Union Hill where he lost miserably(4-16). Prior to that he was at Mount Pleasant with Warrens suoerintendent. WHO ACTUALLY RECIEVED AN INTERVIEW???????????

Vidor needs to develop a passing game if they want to beat central.
Not bashing vidor they have a good running game thats borderline annoying.
But Central has a great defense with a big d-line.

According to stats on Beaumont Enterprise, Vidor lost to Texas High in 2 OT's, beat Nederland & Ozen by passing less than 4 times per game. Food for thought.

  7. Having the best team is a vague question. To win at invitationals you must have depth. To win at regionals and state all you have to have is 2 or 3 studs. So is the question who will do the best at state, or who is the best during the invitational season. Because at this point LCM boys and Vidor girls are the best in this area. Although during the season it was Bridge City boys and West Brook Girls. Early it is good to have quantity, late it is good to have quality.
