Reddog' date=' it is the same coaching staff that beat Crosby and quite a few other teams that you are getting on. It was a mistake, but it will be made worse by people like you who want to stir it up.[/quote']
I'm with Reddog on this one fellas! It may take a good coach to win on the court, but UIL rules and procedures in basketball are elementary and could be followed by a monkey!!!!! You can call it a mistake all you want, and I'm sure it is, but this is a total embarrassment.

Is that considered a lateral move? Or a step down' date=' going from SLC, to UNT. No offense to the UNT program. [/quote']
Are you serious? UNT is only 15 miles away from SLC and he's going from 100K to 2 million a yr.
-
UNT has a new athletic facility and will have a new stadium in 2009.
-
If Mason was healthy, BH wins. Game may be a toss up!
-
What a machine! What's even worse is we expect it and know it's coming.
-
No. HJ will smoke 'em like BH did!

How did the Panthers look?
Very athletic, extremely quick as was expected. Seemed a little small for a 5A, but football is king at Lufkin also. Also didn't seem to gel very well as a team, maybe football boys not yet ready or in real shape. They also had 2 starters out with injuries.

Aldine has one of the state top prospects' date=' I can't think of his name though...any help out there. May be worth taking a lot at this weekend.[/quote']
Gary Johnson / UT

BH 61 Lufkin 59
Mason Fisher 22 / Brooks Ybarra 30 ft trey at buzzer to win it

The weighted average of your cheerleaders.
Not funny Birdman, there may be some validity to that.....well, OK, it was funny!

Well it wasn't a great game offensivly but I think Crosby was just wating for the deep pass to mason. There safety was cheating every play to him. And not to start an argument we did throw the ball to mason more than 2. I know on the drive for the field goal to ice it we threw it deep and Blake throw it down the sidelines and mason cut in. The thing that I was glad to see is we played turnover free and played the clock and field postion game when our d was dominating. I am just glad to get the victory.
Bearkat, how many half grown corners and safeties have you seen stop him yet, single or double coverage? (Hey Jody, no offense on the size remark OK)

Probably working nights at Bayer!!!!

I am not going to start a debate, but the last thing Stewart is scared of is playing in 22-4A. Stewart is much like Hooks in that he will play ANYONE. The UIL appeal was based solely on traveling issues which were confound and I would of appealed also. I would also like to add that I have seen some posters jump on the Dayton bandwagon and some not. If you go back in Stewart's history, he never has been one to put stock in pre-season games, they are treated much like scrimmages to him. Now when the real games begin, be afraid, be very afraid. Do you think it was a coincidence that the Dayton starting QB never played until the 1st district game? I've seen a Stewart coached Dayton team for several years now and nothing he does surprises me. In my opinion, he is way underrated as a coach.

Dayton speed and Stewart coaching enough. Good luck to Coach Lance Dale from The Hill!

Kirbyville is doing really well without 4 key players that is a factor in da game. Marlin Crawford WR(4.4 in da 40 and could be a D1 canidate if he can keep his grades right.) This is the chief of dem all. I can't remember the other three but they will be in da mix as well. Kirbyville 40 Jasper 13
Sorry Jasper!
I think you need to go to english class yourself and not worry about marlin's grades!

He is a tremendous athlete until they meet up with Kirbyville!! OOOPS!! I forgot u guys 4a now!!!
If I remember right, the last time we played he put 9 grabs for 179 yds. on yall. He's the last person YOU want to see again 4A or not!

Forest Brook always has a chance due to athletes and speed, but they have serious issues across the board. BH by 20

Thanks Ranger. Jaws I wish you would edit that a little.

Any Orangefield posters know what Granger is doing these days? What a high school stud he was, probably the best all around athlete I ever saw personally. Lost track of him after A&M and am just curious.
-
Anyone know how this hypothetical playoff pairings might end up? Who plays who?
21-4A
1st BH (smallest school)
2nd Galena Park
3rd Crosby
22-4A
1st Nederland
2nd Dayton
3rd Central
If your projections hold, would be:
D1 Crosby vs. Ned
D2 BH vs. Central
D2 GP vs. Dayton

I'VE GOT A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT
That was great!

Coach Stewart handled it with class. Dayton players and parents should be proud.
They are proud. Stewart owns Dayton and is VERY well respected in the community.

I'm going to the Dayton/WOS game. Want to see the new field and lights at night!
