I think Central will score to go ahead by two, go for a PAT that gets blocked, goes straight up in the air, bounces off a player's helmet and into one of our few fast kid's hands, who then runs it back for a two-point conversion to tie the game up with 43 seconds left on the clock. Then we go into double overtime and win by a field goal.

This site has been one we have all grown to love, whether you're a new member or one of that's been here since the beginning. We have fun with the trash talk and banter and it's all in good spirit most of the time. I just read through the squabbling on the rankings thread and felt it necessary to take a step back and put things into perspective. Granted it's forum posts and that can often lead to misinterpretation but based on some of the posts, it seemed as if there was some sincere animosity. Unlike college ball, the rankings on here, AP, coaches, etc. mean diddly squat. I rarely look at them on here for that reason. To get legitimately upset about one school over another blows my mind. The staff on here does a fantastic job and we should appreciate the time they do put in instead of criticizing them because of how they rank teams. Have fun on here, debate, talk trash, but getting upset over ranking seems a bit childish. It all comes down to Friday night (or the occasional Thursday/Saturday). I don't make light of passion. We all have it for our respective schools, but remember what these games are all about. It's about those kids working their butts off so they can play in the greatest game we know. We are merely spectators that have the opportunity to watch them grow up before our eyes. Disclaimer: I am no saint with this stuff. I have found my emotions affected by stuff on here plenty of times, but I have learned things over the years. So next time you find yourself feeling angry or upset about something, step back and take a look in the mirror and ask yourself if it's something worth you getting upset over. I will leave you with a quote that I look to often: "Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it."

I think she meant "they" as in, all the people who want to gripe about uniforms (regardless of team affiliation). I could care less what my Indians wear. Put them in a safe helmet and burlap sack and I'll still go watch them play Indian football!

But the REAL question is: To wear the gray, or not wear the gray?
 
FYI: I like the gray look, a lot. Not that I'm from PNG or it has anything to do with traditional colors etc....I just like it!

Goodness, I wish everyone would back of coach Faircloth, he and the boys from PNG I'm sure feel bad enough as it is.  He's a good guy and a good coach, just because he's struggled against Neumann, he can get in line for that club, folks need to ease up on the man.  This is not OU / UT as was noted before, these are high school kids.

Student section never turned their backs on anyone. If they had they'd a been staring at me and that never happened. The bottles was embarrassing and we let them know. They went down and picked them up. Some of them were yelling at the culprits to knock it off.

If we run the ball in the first we probably win this one, but no. Sage Seay is a hellova football player. Nederlands gonna miss that kid sumpin' fierce next year. Only time we stopped the dogs in second half was when sage went out injured

I still like Faircloth and hope he stays. Hes a good coach.
I hope the community doesn't do a witch hunt over one game. What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger.

Fair cloth was down 7-0 at the half. His offense was shut down. He went into halftime and made a 28 point adjustment. Png played a good 2nd half and now you guys say fair cloth isn't a good coach and lost yall the game?? At least it wasn't the refs, thick grass, or horns

Wow!!! The only thing that could have made that game better would be a "W" for the Indians. I hate it for those who had to miss it. That first half was definitely off. We didn't even look like the same team. The second half was what I expected from both sides completely. I knew it'd come down to a TD or less, I was just wrong about who would be on top. A very well deserved congrats to the bulldogs. What a GAME!!

Oh. And about the student section... In all honesty I didn't look at ours, but I came *this close* to taking a pic of the mess on the Nederland side. (Mostly just because someone was griping a few days ago about cleaning up baby powder). There was stuff EVERYWHERE in the stands and on the track! It's all in good fun. I'm sure the kids all had a blast. And it's got to be better than the rumored syrup on the bleaches that Ned students were supposedly going to do (I hope that didn't really happen)

Good Sportsmanship by both teams at the end. Both team were patting the other on the back and saw a few hugs.

I was waiting for some awesome trick plays out of us...still waiting!

I agree...the kids should not have thrown the baby powder bottles but it was all picked up by the time I left. The Nederland student section however was a disaster!

We turn the score board off quick when we win to. Pretty sure the operators want to go home.

We do have a good announcer!! Now if you want to talk about announcers, how about Tip Durham, he was the best!
