the brook looked ok last night considering the opponent, Padia at QB seem to me started to get comfortable later in the game, he is a junior and has not seen much action at QB but looks to be more effective on the run and being able to spread the ball around. Im not saying they can do enough to beat north shore because they will have to score 48 or more to beat them because Im not sure if WB defense can hold a good team to less than 40?

[/quote] Well first of all JACKDAD I did not say fire them YET! And my opinion is what I stand by, that is what this forum is for, to express your opinion on WB football. Its easy to critisize us as fans and have no intellegent input on WB football and what the problem may be, I was definately not trying to ruffle anyones feathers but obviously your missing the point of this forum!

Westbrook has to figure something out on offense and quit throwing bubbles as your bread and butter, hey Flannagin they don't work!!!!! I say put clack at receiver and let him stretch the field, use spearman as a slant and across the middle big body receiver, Clack would be a great Moss type receiver he can really fly in a straight line, put the junior back in at QB so he can get the experience he needs for next year! Then maybe we will begin to build for the future but as of now we are looking terrible now and for next year! No reason with the talent on this team to be in this situation, looks to me that this coach has no idea who his players are an what there good at! Quit running and throwing side to side and get north! I think he has not realized that this is not 3A football where you have only 2 athletes, hey flannigan time to wake up this is 5A football where you have a team of athletes !!!! Open up the offense so they stop stacking the box on you, its very frustrating as a fan of the brook to watch the plays this coach runs, it would be different if it was just a lack of talent but as of now it's a lack of coaching!!!!

I know this, after this Game we will see if WB offense can put up some points and drive down the field without turnovers! Your right if there is a team to break out on its Chavez! Look for the Bruins Defense to get better as they have each week. If the bruins can put up 40 points they may have something but if 21 or 28 is all they get then they are in trouble when District Starts up!

WB Defense held together well especially in the First half ....the offense stalled out second half and kept the Defense out on the field, Clack could not pull them out with 3 INT's, momentum plays a big part in these games. WB better fix there issues on Offense to have a chance at all for the playoffs. Give credit to Lamar who had a good D-Line - but that was a beatable team for the bruins, overall I think the Defense got better and the Offense is still trying to find itself! Next week they have Houston Chavez and it would be a good time for the offense to find some swager against a struggling team.

Ive seen some film on Houston Lamar and they have a few good athletes but over all if Clack can run the Quick Offense and limit turnovers I believe they can score with any of the Teams, its goin to come down to Defense and coming off a much improved game Friday, looks like the defense has guys stepping up! Good to see clack come and give the deep threat for the brook, no disrespect to Padia who's a junior but remove the pic Clack threw and the offense was moving the ball and controlling the clock. Also was good to see the defense have a back back bone and step up, they get help from turnovers but the D line gave central a fit! Tell you what Westbrook is young but looks like they are catching on quick! Saturday will tell how well Clack can run the offense and if the defense is really coming together Houston Lamar will bring a good team!! 

Ozen will not win this game PAM defense is a lot stronger then what they showed against central. They will correct there mistakes and keep jones in check, last week a poor defensive effort from Westbrook gave them more opportunities then they deserved PAM. 42 OZ.  21

@ 82 5A state champs ..... The offense did not loose that game and Clack would not have made the difference from what i have seen. I will say that If you have followed Westbrook this year, Padia won the job in practice and I would be willing to bet he will start the game against central.  Man let's hope that that Junior can hold it together and that the Defense can step up and support the offense which they did not do last week!

Ozen's speed beat us last night. They beat us with the big play. All their scores except two were on 3 and long. Hell they converted 3 4th and 10s on the game winning drive. Congrats Panthers on the win. You guys made more plays than we did. As for WB, we will be fine. I'm excited about what this team will do when they really get the new systems down.

If you saw the game with Ozen and the brook you see that the offense can handle themselves but the defense and it's secondary really let the bruins down. And central was the same on defense but there offense struggled as well.. So the game against central if I was betting on it will be WB.  35 Cen.  28

The scrimmage showed a little of the weakness Westbrook has in the secondary, over all the offense was held back until the last 2 drives , being only allowed to run 7 of their offensive plays and not use their speed offense! Coach Flanagan  was not going to expose his play book to ozen since they we're all in the stands! The last two drives were a little taste of what's to come for the brook junior QB Devin Padia drove down the field with a pass and run mix to score the first touchdown and senior Chris Clack did the same at a faster pace for the second score and showed he can lead his team as well as block, overall the offensive will get their respect but the defense will definitely have to step it up!! Lufkin was not as good as people give them credit for definitely have some talent at receiver but Westbrook just did not hit and yards after catch were huge for Lufkin! I'm with the WB coach for not showing his play book to a team they will not face anytIme soon!  I beleive Central vs Westbrook will be a better game but Ozen will not beat West Brook![quote name="WOSgrad" post="1250012" timestamp="1345820169"] 5:00 p.m. at West Brook!
