i recall when we were there in 02 or 03 with the 16yr olds that won the world series that stadium was built in the 40.s and used to play semi pro or pro ball there but yes its a beautiful stadium fine folks up that way also baseball is big as well as softball in that area .

how long has it been since b-wood and bay-city have dropped out of the 17-18 yr old babe-ruth? also i know you are doing all you can to keep it alive and am very grateful have been to 3 world series with my boys and some of the best times for all the family. i still remember more teams in the senior babe-ruth state tourney.over all those years i can only remember losing once to wharton .although i have been acussed of having select memory.

what has happend to babe-ruth baseball? in the past we always had 4 or 5 teams competing for state . now all of a sudden we have 2? is it just when we host that 1 other team always wharton thank god will come down to play?what happend with b-wood bay-city and palacious .

they are very well coached i could tell by the interviews . a good bunch of kids too. everyone interviewed stated we have no superstars we just play and battle together every inning and that pretty much says it all .however the second baseman reminds me of dustin pedrioa for the sox little scappy guy that never quits and plays hard every play.

dillion is very deserving he was the best player for nederland and the best in the district congrats kid

i can understand kyle for coach of the year but robbins? come on now brevelle did a much better job of coaching with all that went on with his program. heck everybody wrote him off after the first 4 or 5 games. he is well deserving of this. how many times did you see joe torre win manager of the year? hell he was expected to win like nederland has been over the last 4 years . take the talent nederland has had just over the last 2 years lol and to lose in the second round and barely made it out of the first round last 2 years its a joke

id like to say congrats to brett as well. i started to say something after the first game and ill say it now. for the past 3 years . nederland has had more than 2 capable  pitchers that could win against anyone in the district. when you pitch just 2 it looks good on stats. however it really puts a strain on the arms.come playoff time it seems to me that you would want to enter them with somewhat fresh arms.this year was the weakest ive seen pitching wise in a long while . nederland by far had more pitching than anyone but for what ever reason didnt utilize it .brett myself  as well as alot of people knew you could come in and perform like this without a doubt.just keep your head up and be ready for future series.pitts and raines are fully capable as well.hope all is well with smith and #7 who i feel is the best athelete on the team.win today and theres a good chance you will go far.

as i said in a earlier quote . there is no reason to panic. png still is a concern of everyone in this district. we have all been on the short end of a 1 run ballgame . thier losses have been close ballgames . extra innings as well.they will get it back on track and still lotta ballgames left . goodluck to those guys and hope its a down to the wire district race .

i was told the kid that pitched against png was a sophmore also is this true?

png will be fine !! just need to get a key hit here and there . id be worried if they were getting blown out but they have lost 3 straight close games . its not brevail,seniors need to step it up and play like they are capable of sparrow doing great along with denslinger. just tough luck in the early going.sounds like a six team race for 4 playoff spots

admin who do you think they are gonna throw from livingston? ive never seen them and id bet they throw the same kid. only makes sense.

great pithching has made up the difference in neds errors over the past 3 years and hopefully it will continue to be great . sophmore pitched a great one the other night had 1 bad inning

id have to say the pitching performance of the sophmore from nederland.he also went 2for3 at the plate i believe . but to only give up 2 hits to port neches is something special.

i agree with the statement on lets just move on. in nederland we cant seem to let things go. heck we are even bringing up what happend at last years game . like the commentators say on monday night football.(come on man!!)
