TASO Ump

It is official, Due to Weather. The games have been moved to next week. It will still be at Lamar's Vincent- Beck Stadium.  2A & 3A Underclassmen Mon. June 22 @ 5 PM.  4A, 5A. & 6A Seniors Mon. June 22 @ 7 PM. 4A, 5A, & 6A Underclassmen Tue. June 23 @ 5 PM. 2A & 3A Seniors Tue. June 23 @ 7 PM. Players need to be there 30 to 45 min. before game time.

Anyone know of any new high school head baseball coach changes ? If so please post their names and schools please.

Everyone should be able to see it may have to give a little time for it to load.

Most all Schools got Nominations in. Thanks to the Coaches

Parents, Please don't call, text, or etc. your coaches. They do have a limit of players that they can nominate. TASO calls games for 43 Schools in our area. If the coaches enter 10 players from each school that's 430 players to play in 4 games in 2 days it just can't be done with the amount of money that we have. We don't have big companies donating money to these games ( wish we did but we don't ). The coaches have a hard job of entering just a few players for these games. Now if you own a big company or work for one that would like to donate hundreds or thousands of dollars please contact us. every dollar that we make go's back to the players through scholarships. The umpires donate their time and money for this event. 

If the Coaches nominate them they will be placed on a team. In the past some of the players nominated could not be there due to prier obligations so they did not get to play. No nominated player gets left out, that's why you may see up to 25 players on a team.

All of the players that was nominated by their coach and is available will be on the roster to play. TASO does not exclude any player that was nominated

All the nominations are in and the teams are being picked. Games will be June 10 & 11 @ Lamar's Vincent- Beck Baseball Field. We would like to have Sponsors for anyone or any Company that would be interested to help. All proceeds go towards Scholarships that are given each year. [b]TASO Baseball Awards its Highest Honor[/b] 
       
On Christmas Eve three years ago, TASO lost a very special member. Tim Head, who had been president of the TASO Baseball Division, Chairman of the TASO Board and president of the Alliance Baseball chapter, was killed in a traffic accident. Tim was also a few years into what would have become a very successful football officiating career in the TASO Fort Worth Football chapter.

In honor of Tim, the Tim Head Award was established as the highest honor that the Baseball Division could bestow. Last Saturday, at the 2013 TASO Baseball Annual Meeting, the Tim Head Award was presented to George Coit. George just completed two terms as Baseball President, and has served TASO and the Baseball Division many ways over the years.

The award ceremony was especially moving as Tim's wife, Amy, was on hand to personally present George the award. Congratulations George, on a well deserved award, and thanks to Amy for taking the time to be there. Tim would be pleased.
