Christian Rios (Sr) Sterling vs Texas City , 1st homerun

Rangers faced Clear Lake for there final game of the tournament today and squeezed out a tight one with a 1-0 win in 7 innnings.  The Rangers only had a few hits but relied on there pitching and defense to lock this one up . Dallas Woods pitched 4 innings and Christian Rios came in for the final 3 innnings, great weekend overall with the rangers going 4-0 with a combination of hitting , good pitching and defense, alot of good things to build on for the rest of the season.

It's still early in the season but if they can keep playing together and keep working hard it can be a great season for them . Sterling plays clear lake tomorrow at 10 am in deer park

12-1 top of 6 Sterling up over PNG , Rangers offense is heating up again , Keep it going Rangers , another great pitching outing from Mendoza

Hebert was pitching for the Rangers during the game that was rained out .

Fadal and peyton did a great job pitching for the Rangers today , the offense picked up during the middle innings of the game to help the Rangers win 8-2 over clear brook.  

 

 

Rangers got to the bottom of the 4th inning against the Boerne Champions with a 1-1 tie , the Rangers had runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the 4th inning about to take the lead and then the game went into a lightning delay and then was cancelled .

 

 

Rangers will play PNG tomorrow at 12:30 in Deer Park 

Glad to hear that dennis is back and doing good from his hamstring injury , GCM have alot of scrappy ball players and a few good underclassmen that should help out this year .  Good luck this season 

I think there was 6 total Homeruns , yes Mendoza did a great job and the Rangers look to have a solid defense and a batting lineup that can make something happen at any time . If the Ranger pitching staff can hold it down this year , it could be a fun season to watch .

Great way to start the season for the Rangers , plenty to work on but looked like alot of good things to build on. Go Get'm this weekend Rangers and good luck on the 2014 baseball season.

RSS battled to take the series to saturday but fell alittle short , kyle hill pitched a great game overall and the Rangers never gave up and were one hit away to coming back and taking the lead in the top of 7th inning.  Good luck to all the Seniors and to the ones going off to continue the baseball dream in college we wish all of yall the best.  Congrats to Pearland alot of great kids on that team and good luck in the 2nd Rd of Playoffs.

Blake goins pitched a nice game tonight against Sterling , rangers had a few chances to get to blake but couldnt get a clutch hit tonight .  Pearland took advantage of some early walks and errors to take the lead and thats all blake needed to bring in game 1 win.  Gread job tonight to pearland and hopefully rangers can come out and try to steal one tomorrow . This is why players and athletes train all offseason and regular season for the chance to compete in playoffs against top level elite players.  Pearland for sure has a very good pitching staff and strong batting line-up , Sterling's pitchers will try to keep them off balance and the Rangers defense will have to make routine plays and some spectacular ones to keep this series close.  Hopefully the pitchers the Rangers have seen through district ( Ricky Salinas. Josh Pettite, and Nick Buckner) have help them prepare for Pearlands tuff pitching.  Good luck to all the players and GO RANGERS.

Sterling will for sure see a different WB team this time around I think because of the playoff chances , I think it should be a good game just going to come down to whose team has the bats hot that day.  Good luck to the Sterling boys as they battle to get into the playoffs .

I understand and your exactly right we've seen some of the stats that are plugged in as the season goes on and they are very hard to figure out were some of them came from lol.( Thanks for the information )

Great season so far GCM and good luck as you prepare for the playoffs , alot of the boys in baytown have grown up together and have played alot of select summer ball together and its good to see alot of them still going strong and being successful.

Ricky Salinas (P)-  Northshore should be a good one also

I know that basically its the coaches vote on a kid that gives him the opportunity to make an all district award but does anyone know what exactly a kid has to accomplish to be considered ?
