  1. Is he the Coach over there doing all the work with recruiting?
  2. Congrats to Dennis Bardwell - OL - Huffman (6-5, 280) who gets offered by Texas State on Saturday at Junior Day.
  3. Hey fellas, I was looking for your thoughts on these teams, we have them slotted for preseason and before I go an troll them like a jilted spinster I'd like to hear from you guys. Huffman Hargrave Week 1 at Needville Week 2 at Humble Week 3 Willis Thanks everyone for the info.
  4. Looks like Huffman will be mixing up the preseason schedule Huffman Hargrave Week 1 at Needville Week 2 at Humble Week 3 Willis Week 4 Houston Worthing
  5. Should be a very interesting fall. I'm sure my son is already getting tired of me telling him to make sure the guys are working hard in off-season. Gotta make sure my Birds are ready.
  6. Agreed, referring more to the news. Also an issue not discussed thus far is, What about the Freshman, JV games during the week?
  7. All that 6a talk and no mention of 10 4a-d1. Any of these planning on playing on a neutral site? The LCM - Navasota drive is 192 miles?
  8. I expect Navasota to be very tough this year, along with Silsbee, BC, LCM and don't plan to sleep on Livingston or Cleveland either. The original point was, get ready to spend some time on the road come Friday nights. On to other points: Huffman should be ready, will be interesting in the direction we go in finding a new QB but the team looks solid. Return almost all the Defense which was extremely young last year and came around at times last half of the season. O-line returns 4 of 5, 2 of which will be 3 year starters. Return our RB and 3 of 4 WRs, 1 of which will be a 3 year starter.
  9. Last year, didn't they say Navasota was going to run all over Carthage in the playoffs? Guess that's why they play the game.
  10. Bit Partial, but still Dennis Bardwell - OL - Huffman (6-5, 280) Junior Day's at University of Houston, Texas State and Texas Tech also garnering interest out in Falcon Country Dylan Lorfing - WR - Huffman (6-3, 200)
  11. Here is what it looks like, just in case you want to drive all the way around District 10-4a Division 1. I'd suggest gassing up first though...
  12. Update on game time for tomorrow's Game #2. Now starting at 12 noon.
  13. Have to cheer on Cleveland in this one. Somewhere around mid season turned turned a corner and really started playing some decent basketball. Played Splendora close for 3 periods (even had the lead at the half) and surprised a flat Huffman. Would love to see up game updates tonight :)

  15. Huffman over Coldsprings by 9ish...44ish to 35ish. Still not great at the score keeping but trying.
  16. Huffman over Cleveland by 15ish I will try and write it down next time. I always think about it after the game at dinner.
  17. Huffman over Liberty in OT, think it was by 4-5.
  18. I think "the ones" was a single post by single person, well and then a follow up after the original one was deleted. I've never seen the guy coach so have no clue, I was more interested in the posts disappearing. I understand the rule and agree the first post was a rant. The second if I remember right (I've eaten turkey since I read it) was more fair.
  19. I haven't seen this guy but I did see a number of post showing opinions of how he degrades the girls. Those post went missing and now I see a post calling for more coaches like him. Censorship at its best.
  20. Long time listener first time caller, but I’ve been around on the girl side for some time, but have seen plenty of Falcon football. Besides Falcon #3 is a football player in the making so thought it best we were introduced. Wow, were to even begin…. Scrubs…not a good word, those teams are the best those towns can currently come up with. While not terribly competitive they are still good kids and deserve some props for working their a$$es off to show up on Friday night and take a beating. For those that don’t know all the history Huffman has been there in the past, just happens we are currently in a very nice upturn thanks in part to the coaches, some to the kids and more to the parents. (Believe it or not, the kids can’t have good team attitudes if the parents are at home ripping the coaches) Now on to talent, Yeah most teams in the District have some talent. The three that have been thrown around in this thread I’d say classify as CS who has talent and depth, Huffman who has some talent and decent depth and Cleveland who has talent but little depth. In a Huffman vs Clvd match up Clvd prolly has 1-3 of the top athletes on the field, but there is a large drop off where as Huffman is putting a solid athlete at each spot with skill and discipline. To finish Coldsprings is the lead dog in the race, but they better not fall asleep at the wheel ‘cause we will be ready to knock’em off. Huffman holds strong at second with good set of returners and some hungry youngsters ready to see some action. Cleveland, Liberty will be a hot/cold teams that could be a spoilers. Shephard, Tarkington are the up and comers with bits of speed and a little size coming up but just not there yet.
