1.
Congrats to the Hawks for having the top average score in district play and giving up the fewest average points in district play, not to mention the largest average margin of victory.
"BUT"
2. I've learned when I read a certain person's post the last sentence or what's in parenthesis is all they want you to come away with.  A wise man once said "listen for the buts in every sentence because the true meaning of the statement comes after the word but".  Before the "but" is the smile before you get punched in the face.
3. The Dominant inside game of HF was held to only 3 points through 3 quarters. It was physical last night in the paint.
4. 1. He is looking for a matchup problem team for his team to be better prepared for. (dominant inside game) Explain dominant and who in this area could provide that type of game play to the Tigers.  I think the Tigers make getting the ball to block for any team a very difficult thing.  They deny the pass very well and their help defense is impeccable. You can have twin towers in the paint but if they don't get the ball their size is mute attribute. If it is for rebounding purposes the Hawks slightly out rebounded them in both games.  If I am not mistaking 32 had close to double doubles in both games and the Tigers were challenged when 10 moved to the post or ran the baseline. So what you are saying if HJ plays the Tigers again 32 and 42 should stay on the bench and watch because they do not score 25 per game.  They are not expected to do that, they have their role and do it to the coaches satisfaction or they wouldn't be playing. One last question, what team is Silsbee wanting to prepare, to me it should be your next opponent. Although, your entitled to your comments next time a simple "We just want to a change a scenery" is far better than throwing kids under the bus.
5. What's that, the old run it up and humiliate your opponent deal.  That mentality is a vicious circle, although, my bad shoulder kept telling me beat down-beat down, the other side reassured me what coach Southerland did was obsolutely the right thing to do.  Those kids don't deserve a payback for the actions of others.  Hats off to the bench tonight they played very well and that game experience is very important. BC players got after it from start to finish, never gave up, hats off to you. Thanks coach Southerland for modeling good behavior to our athletes.  :) :)
6. SHIRTS OFF to you Papa.  :o Hold your ground on block and dont give up the easy shot.
7. My son has been playing with Shawn since Little Dribblers and it has been so awesome watching this guy mature not only as a basketball player but as a person.  I watched last night with total amazement and the Lamar coach was sitting behind me burning up his phone up. Hopefully, he was texting Knight saying we need this guy. At one point he completely took over the game with 8 straight points several dunks that would make Dr. J slightly envious. Great kid and beyond basketball and I truly believe he will be successful in the real game "Life". Lov me some Shawn.
8. Often times role player's efforts tend to get overlooked in the midst of who scored the most points. Both Silsbee and HJ have several athletes that fit this mold.  How about a point guard that resist taking a shot and makes an assist, the guy that grabs double digit rebounds, a hustler thats plays great defense or as simple as a player who consistently makes clean passes against pressure.  By the way,  I would take my chances with Shawn on a bad night versus most others on a good night.  Great kid on and off the court.  It amazes me when folks belittle others without a second thought especially when the accuser has never walked in the shoes he criticized.
9. great job by both individuals.  we r very fortunate to have this service.  thanks guys
