The ULM Warhawks sweep the ULL Rajun Cajuns in 3-game series Thur-Friday-Saturday in Lafayette. As a result, Warhawks will open Sun Belt tournament pool play as the #5 seed Wednesday morning at 11:00 against #4 South Alabama. Warhawks also play #1 seed Florida Atlantic on Thursday and close out pool play Saturday night against host Western Kentucky. Warhawks took game1 against ULL, 8-2 behind complete game performance from lefty Randy Ziegler. Warhawks score on a wild pitch to take a 2-1 lead in the top of the 11th in game 2. ULL puts two men on base before Warhawk closer gets a ground ball out to end the game. Kendall Thamm ( Barbers Hill-2008) gets the game 3 start on Saturday. Thamm throws 4 innings of 1-hit ball needing only 41 pitches to get the win, walking none and striking out three before 1-hour rain delay ends his night. Thamm ends the regular season of his senior year with a 5-3 record, with 2 saves. In 59 innings of work allowed 55 hits (47 singles), struck out 44 and walked 22.

The BH 2007 team beat them in the Regional Quarterfinals in Manvel.  There were 6-7 kids on that team they played in the little league world series, including Randall Gruchik(?) who played in two LL world series. Played as a 11 year old and then as a 12 year old. One of the best pure hitters I have ever seen. He is now in the minor league system. My son faced him in the playoff game. He struckout, hit a home run that I doubt has come down yet, and then was hit by a pitch. They played together one summer and decided to call themselves even. LOL. These kids were also beaten by BH in the 14 Little League state tournament in Tyler, Texas.

We played 3 of the current top 10 5A state ranked teams. one of which we beat. We played other very talented 4A and 5A teams as well. I believe we could say that we are battle tested as well.  Here lately every time I read one of your posts, you say something like " congrats BH. you beat are little brother, But now you get us " .  Like we are supposed to be scared or something.  Or  "  The road to State goes through Brenham ".  Don't get me wrong, I know you are a dedicated fan, And I still respect that.  Your arrogance is just a liitle over the top !!!!
