1. Yep...what a waste of time and OUR money....this after spending millions going after Bonds. This country is out of whack ! Feed the homeless, solve immigration, fix public education, etc, etc, etc. Who cares if Clemens juiced......Its MLB's problem.
 2.

I can't even imagine how the Baylor players and coaches feel right now. Losing a great extra inning pitcher's battle in extra innings and how they lost on Sunday....gotta be tough. What a great season they had. Baylor athletic program is second to no one right now....and this is coming from a Horn.
All around they have to be top 10 in the country right now.  It's pretty amazing what their AD has done with a small school that many people don't believe belong in a BCS conference.  Pay that guy whatever he wants, because he has earned it.
Absolutely  !
 3. I think I will have to go with the Florida Gators....would love to see Stoney Brook pull it off.

 5.
LSU fans knew they had seen a performance, too!  They gave a standing ovation to the SB players and were high-fiving them as they circled the stadium.  Knowledgeable fans!  Nice to see.  SB was a long way from home without fan support!  Nice job, LSU!!
Ditto on LSU fans. My son's team played at the Baton Rouge regional (Louisiana-Monroe) last week. Started out by playing against the Tigers on Friday night. Tiger fans were awesome....made for a great weekend of baseball. Before, during, and after the game, around town in restaraunts, I did not encounter one unpleasant LSU fan... even invited to do a little tailgaiting on Friday before we played against them. Kudos out to LSU Tiger baseball fans !

But I am glad he will get a good education!!!!!  Great Job Jake and Good luck in everything you do!
Thought they had to stay at D-1 school for 3 years?
3 years or until age 21....whichever is first. Congratulations Jake....I applaud your decision.
 7. Geeez, I cannot fathom why  :o :o :o :o :o :o
 8. Great showing by the SunDevils. Congratulations out to the players, Chip, and all of the coaches ! Well done...and we got 25 rounds left.
 9. Does anyone have info (other than what I know) on lefty taken in 5th by Toronto.... Delatte from Niicholls State. Not knocking the kid, but have to admit I was very surprised. First, being a senior and listed at 6'0 180 lbs. Bio on Nicholls site shows no numbers that really jump out. Just curious ?
 10. Rogers has a chance to be a good one. Falcon, your profile of him was spot on. He's not overpowering but does a really good job of commanding 4 pitches and staying in or near the strike zone. Rogers is actually a local guy. 2009(?) grad from Lamar Consolidated...on the team that was beat in 2007 playoffs by Barbers Hill. He was also one of the Little League World Series kids.

 12.
Just saw that Nick Williams (G Ball) has committed to ATM (switched from UT). He will be drafted, but has indicated he wants to go to college first. On a side note, UT seems to have "lost" more commits than usual this year. Almost lost C J Hinojosa to the Ags too. Augie better right that ship quick.
You got that right. The burnt orange ship is taking on lots of water !  :-[ :-[

BH has won District in every competition this year except boys basketball. not sure what you are looking for and I don't think there were any promises made. Gage's involment in the community has been a big plus for the BH program IMO..... Just Sayin 8)
Not that administration.....Our Presidential Administration.  Guess I should have specified.  I like Gage and his crew and Dr. Poole just fine!
LOL....I was going to respond....until you clarified.  ;D Must agree...current administration sux !
 14.
Here ar a couple of JUCO guys that could get some attention: Reggie Wilson (WB and San Jac JC) Cody Butler (GCM and Galveston JC) Dustin Cook from Huffman has a chance to be drafted also.
I was thinking Cook has a shot, also.
 15. Kendall Thamm (2008 Barbers Hill/Angelina College/Louisiana-Monroe) possible late round pick as a college senior.
 16.
For those of you interested in following this Regional: [Hidden Content] LSU has announced freshman Aaron Nola as the Friday starter.
Not sure who we are throwing. Our Friday night ace, Randy Ziegler may be held back for Saturday's game. However, interesting note: Ziegler ( from Shreveport, La. ) started collegiate baseball at LSU. At the end of the season, was told he needed to transfer and wasn't good enough to pitch in SEC. He's 3-0 against SEC thus far while pitching at Bossier Parrish CC and ULM. Knowing Ziggy as I do, I can promise you he's foaming at the mouth.

Go big or go home. Have some fun at regionals.
Amen, brother ! Thanks. Going to be tough against LSU in the box Friday night. What a ride.  ;D Kendall only threw 2/3 innings in Sun Belt Championship....certainly wasn't his best. Nerves and been battling a bad head cold (at doctor as we speak). However, with the sometimes quirkiness of baseball scoring, he was credited with the win to move to 6-3, 2 saves on the season.
Anything can happen in baseball. Keep it down in the zone, make the routine plays routine, and see what happens.
No doubt about it. Warhawks will be there...in it to win it.

 19. WOW... Baseball can be a crazy game.
 20.
Well...there are strikeouts and then there are strikeouts. A three pitch strike out a wasted out, you can only hope the kid picked up something from the pitcher or umpire to help him next at bat. But, any plate apperance that goes into the 5+ pitch range is a productive at bat. The batter gets to see more pitches from the pitcher, increasing both the chance of a pitching mistake and wear on the pitcher. So, if a kid is coming back to the bench after three pitches, first thing I ask the kid is, "what did he throw?". Generally, if the kid has some idea of what pitches took him out, he can be better prepared next time. If he is coming back to the bench after a 6, 8, or 10 pitch at bat....good job stay focused and good things will happen.
This I can agree with.
 21. ULM Warhawks score 3 runs in top of 10th inning to defeat South Alabama 7-4 in the opening game of the tournament. ULM starter Randy Ziegler not in usual form as he gives up 7 hits and 4 earned runs in first two innings. Warhawks fall behind 4-0. Kendall Thamm (Barbers Hill-2008) throws 5 scoreless innings of 3-hit ball while Warhawks scratch their way back. Closer Will Browning throws 3 scoreless to get the victory. ULM will face top seeded Floriad Atlantic at 3:00 tomorrow in pool A play.
That can be true, but there are certainly other outs that i would consider totally unproductive as well.
That is true as well. However, the question is/was about strikeouts.  ;)
 23. Atta boy, Jacob. Congratulations !
