It was not called off due to weather.  There was not enough teams.  Saturday is going to be 63 degrees & sunny.  I don't know what day they knew it wasn't going to make, but I am sure a lot of teams missed opportunities to get in other tournaments.

Looking for 10 year old scrimmage for this weekend.  We were registered to play at Ford Park this weekend, but the tournament didn't make.  By the time we were told there wasn't enough teams, it was to late to get in somewhere else.  We are classified as 10 AA, but really just need to play.  Would be open to doubleheader or round robin if other teams are interested.  Message me.  Thanks.

If they wanted to play for them they would have come to tryouts.  No first class coach calls kids committed to other teams.  We chose to stay where we were.  We didn't want to pay more money, for less coaching & a less competitive team.

Keith Stone, you should try the Sundevils.  They must be desperate for kids because their coaches are calling kids that are already on teams.  Stay Classy.

The better players on West End's major team play select too. Shame on those kids for playing better competition and wanting to become better baseball players.  Shame on them for wanting to play with other kids that can catch the ball too. 

Great rec league. My kids had a great time and got a lot out of it. Free clinic for kids was great and the coaches clinic made a big difference.  Highly recommend to everyone.

Mofo, since you admit to living in HJ district, just curious how your kids are allowed to play west end all-stars.  West end is already drawing from twice as many kids as other Beaumont leagues.  Why is west end allowed waivers for all these out of district players? Why are out of district players allowed to make all-stars over in district kids?

Westend1 is mike Lockhart. Always been anti select and anti babe Ruth because he was a west end board member and part of Beaumont baseball league.

Also a huge congratulations to the Tigers, my sons t-ball team, and all the other little league teams that got a win this week.

So why were major teams playing AA again. Not sour grapes either, we won the tournament.

Taking account for the weather, it was still a very poorly run event. No communication, umpires didn't know rules, guys in charge didn't know rules. There were major teams smoking AA teams 26-0, not sure why USSSA even bothers to classify teams.  The directors team was bad so it wasn't a big deal this time, but it is a conflict of interest when your playing the guy that pays the umpires.

Games were always 1:20 before rain. Nations is 1:40. Forgot to mention tournament director is coaching a team too

I was warned, but I guess this is what they called the USSSA special. 1:20 time limits, AA teams mixed with Majors, some teams playing 2 pool games, others playing 1.  What a joke. My team won't be making this mistake again.

i heard a rumor the academy's for SS & BYSC were going to merge, is there any truth to that?

Did i hear it right that they are realligning divisions? where's houston gonna be?

only thing wrong with youth sports is the adults.  Let the kids play and have fun.  People really talk trash about pee wee football.  Really.
