Who do y'all play next week?

94,  Looks like ya'll had a good game yesterday. We play our cross town rival BH South.

94...Wish I could go to this game, but I will be at Ross Sterling High School watching BH North vs Cedar Bayou. I pick Gentry in this game, just too much horsepower for the Ponies... Mustangs by 2 TD's.

Dayton was the best test for the Eagles to date, well coached team. I agree with Real, looking forward to more meetings with this group.

Anyone know the results of Gentry, Crosby 8A game last night??

Dayton Ponies 8th A won 35-0 and B team won with a similar score but both with complete shut outs. But with that said, I couldn't believe that Baytown only had 12 on A team and not too much more on B team. A couple players got hurt on A team so they had to pick up a couple from B team. Another thing I couldn't believe is that BH thought that barely beating Crosby would silence anyone. Freaking hilarious!!!!!!!

94 looking forward to another match up of undefeated teams next week, should be another good game. But ya'll haven't played any of the strength in your schedule yet.(BH North,Gentry and Crosby) Look at the scores, we all blew out the weaker teams in the district. Don't hang your hat on Baytown Jr! They at least had a full roster when we beat them.

This was the game I worried about the most. We just don't match up well with your power running game. I believe we have the best athletes in the district but not enough hosses. That's why we lost to you guys last year but could handle Crosby and Dayton. So I'm hoping for a repeat of last year where you lose to Dayton and Crosby and we still at least win a district or co-district championship. :P

 

And I'm not even going to get started about the officiating, they didn't effect the outcome of the game, ya'll ran the ball down our throats, but wow.

 I knew this game was going to a tuff one because ya'll have some athletes, and speed. I thought that our offense might wear your defense down as the game went on with only 15 players. Good luck to ya'll, it was a battle...But the officiating is always questionable at the middle school level.. Tell your son good game, and nice TD catch.

I heard from some BH South parents that it was just a bad strained neck...They keep him at the Hospital over night to keep an eye on him.. Thanks for asking.

Not sure where you are getting your erroneous information about TIFI from.. The court didn't rule in Galveston's favor. The lawyers from each side agreed to replay the game before the judge heard the arguments.. Alvin held a meeting with all of the parents and coaches and decided not to replay the game because the films proved that Galveston cheated.  Alvin was the bigger team not wanting to drag their boys thru the newspapers and court cases...

The point is adults should not put an emphasis on winning at all cost, if we do this what are we teaching these young men. Team sports teach life lesson that they will carry with them thru out their lives...

You are correct I don't know Lonestars' rules, I coach in TIFI and we have a 15 play min for a 25 player roster... It is my job to check with the monitor during the game and make sure everyone is getting his plays. This past year we incorporated a no huddle offendse, and all of our kids usually had thier plays by the 3rd qtr. In a youth sports program there is NO excuse for them not getting the min plays when the parents are paying for thier child to play... Just today we voted an organization out of our league, because the coaches were caugh cheating to win in a semifinal game. Our league ruled that they should forfit the game, and they sued the league.. These coaches had 2 children who didn't get the min plays, 1 got 4 plays and the other only got 8plays.... It is a shame the adults get involved and try to menipulate the game and now 130 football players, cheerleaders and drillteam will not be allowed to participate in our league next year...

How do you kill over 2 min without running 2 plays?  I guess your kid wasn't one of the kids that was shorted his min plays, or you would be addressing the coaches for not playing him and not the league.
