Happens Labor Day at the new Dallas Cowboy staduim.  Pay one price watch football allday and enjoy the new staduim.  You may want to google to confirm dates and teams playing.  Did it last year enjoyed the whole day of high school football.  Planning on doing it this year as well.  :-* :)

This gets brought up every year.  And it seems that some people just don't get it.  The bottom line is, it is about the KIDS.  The more kids involved the better, and its not just about the football team, you have the drill team, band, cheerleaders,etc,etc, and etc.  And if a fourth place team ever wins a state title, by god they deserve it.  Now I have said my peace. Later..... :) :)

Like it or Dislike it. Its all about the kids, the more kids involved the better. If you win the state championship you have definitely earned it. Most of the time a 3rd or 4the place team is eliminated pretty quick.

You know halfway thru this post, I quit, I had a nice rebuttal, but its futile "useless", these Raider fans just can't let it go. Keep Up the good work PIRATES, take care of OZEN.

I really thought Vidor would run at will, good job Raiders for keeping it close. Congrats to the Pirates. And to all the L-train DOUBTERS, line up for the CROW. Good luck next week.

Rollinac, You need to look at the facts. You can question, Vidors pre-district schedule and maybe have some doubts about strength, But Central has played some good ball clubs, they are for real, now on the other hand Lumbertons pre-district, was no harder than Vidors. They barely got by a struggling Silsbee team, that was beat by a struggling Diboll team and HF, enough said. The bottom line its going to be a good game. IMO, I just don't think Lumberton has seen a running attack like Vidor has. Vidor defense is suspect, Lumberton cannot make no mistakes. Heck, even with the 3 fumbles Vidor had against Central, they still almost pulled it off. Good luck to both teams,and pray for no injuries.

Man that's some funny stuff. I still like the one from a previous L-train poster, in regards to the lady Livingston announcer. It's kinda like the Easter bunny coming down the chimney at Christmas time. By god that some funny stuff.

Layem, I see no double standard. I did respond to that post, and found it to be the most untimely and disrespectful post, directed at the players of both LCM and Vidor. Uncalled for and unacceptable on your part, I was very delighted when it got deleted. However with that being said this puma "poster" appears to be from Nederland and you have to accept this especially during the week of MCM.

Back towards the end of summer, I started a thread wanting to recognize the complete coaching staffs of each school. Didn't get any takers. So lets try again. We can limit it to Varsity level football only. Peace

Short, can you explain to me. What this years group of young men and their accomplishment's thus far, have to do with last years team, the team before that, the team before that, etc,etc.,etc.. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I don't post alot, but I read alot. There is a ton of negative comments toward this team. Most of the comments about District Champs, State Champions, etc. are coming from outsiders,not true Vidor Fans. Is it wrong to be excited and pumped up about your team, absolutely not. The bottom line, this team has had no control over the history of Vidor football, schedule's,scores,wins,losses,etc., they can only control this year, and thus far has done a good job, these kids don't deserve all the negative comments. They will be given their chance to prove the haters wrong and maybe the will. Stats,rankings, and schedule's mean nothing. That's why we play the games. After rereading your posts, maybe I misread them, are you saying that WestBrook, WOS football is a better program overall, throughout the years or this years teams better than the present. The unfortunate thing is we will never know. So lets play the games. GO PIRATES

They are young men giving their best every Friday night, just like all the other teams. May I suggest, if you don't have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all..

Badndn, Before posting please have your facts straight. Vidor has been to the playoffs in the past 10 years and has been responsible for keeping a couple of teams from the playoffs. Lower tier NO, middle tier YES. Now I would agree that playing a soft preseason, could come back to haunt you at some point in the season. But lets call it a dilemma after the season is over. These schedules are made way in advance.

If possible, lets name and recognize each High Schools complete coaching Staff for 2009/2010 school year.

Have they replaced any of the coaches that had left. More important the Offensive Cor. just curios,who the new offensive cor. may be and will we see any changes in the offense.

I am just asking a question, not trying to be wise guy. Why don't W.O.S opt to play up in 4A football, rather than play in the 3A district there in. My understanding is that a team can opt up a level , but not opt down. I don't know. Maybe somebody can shed some light on the subject. Thanks

This is the way it has always been, Because Nederland may be having an off year the district is weak, bad play calling etc., etc. Heck after Dayton walk through WOS and then tied Vidor, You thought it was the end of the ERA at WOS. Then all of sudden they whip Nederland and they are back on top of the world. I am anxious to see what the outcome will be between Nederland and Kelly, heck Nederland has already won the game over on the Nederland vs Kelly thread. Will be more anxious to see the excuses pile in, after Kelly beats them are plays a good game. Of course this is my opinion, I expect to be trashed for it. Any way GOOD LUCK to all area teams. ;D ;D ;D

RaiderPride09, I am sorry that they didnt win with enough points to suit you and the Raider faithful, but 500 plus yards rushing is pretty decisive, if you was to ask me. Oh by the way, since when do you have to win by moe than one point anyway, who invited you to come out to watch Vidor play anyway. Ha Ha Ha
