1. Smitty knows his football, or can Google... one or the other.
A "Dead T" is a straight T look but with the fullback moved back to where his hands are even with the feet of the other two backs.  Or maybe a hair or two deeper.

I would assume the slot T is a version of the dead T that uses a SLOT back.  And the wing T is a version of the dead T that uses a WING back. But I'm no football guru.
Been involved with junior high and high school football for 64 years; even back to the single wing formation.  I have never before heard of the "Dead" T formation.  What is that? 3. Vidor, hands down, even when they're bad, its tough to win there
4. Oh no, slot instead of wing, wow, back to the drawing board, good thing Ned has two weeks to prepare
5. Do you mean your school doesn't have a 7th grade program??? What are you saying?
6. It will all come down to what happens the 4 or 5 times Vidor puts it in the air.  That will decide this game, will they catch our safeties coming up for run support while a TE slips past em.  It will be this simple in my opinion.
7. After the game I saw Nederland play Friday I don't care where u rank em, don't matter, we going DEEP with these boys, we goin deep
8. The respect is mutual from both sides, great football game, two of the states best teams
9. Scdawgs, your reason is lost on em
10. Jmoore, be sure to listen to the game AT Vidor, you just be sure to listen there buddy, promise you a show.  Just keep liSTENING
11. Going for 2 was the ONLY call any coach with half a lick of sense woulda made, end of story.  Sounds like those who made the trip had a little early trick or treat action
12. Ur serious?  Never ever play ot  in pre district that's why ur at home
13. Yeah if you're pulling that stuff out of the bag, its major props to our defense, we are who I thought we were
14. Thanks for the objectivity, sounds like some are blowing it out of proportion.
15. I'm with Majesty, I'll take 24 and that defense everyday of the week and twice on Friday nights
16. This will be Fair cloths chance to pull a Neumann, that guys has made a living out of succeeding in nasty tough situations... that is the true measure of a Great coach.  Even if Fair loth loses to Nederland for the 3rd straight year, if he takes this team to the playoffs, folks will have to tip their cap
17. Yep, outstanding jv haven't they won or tied for the DC several times during the past 4 years
18. PNG always has one of the best JV teams, they would likely win the jV state championship
19. This will be a 3 point game, there are few tests Nederland will face this year like going to Vidor for the district opener.  Jeff Matthews gets his team ready to play Nederland like no coach in this district.  He's got that part figured out and Vidor is a Tough, Tough place to play, it don't matter how good you are.  I think Nederland has better talent and will play hard as always, but it's just a tough job to do going and winning over there, don't know what it is, but it's real.
20. Dickie Thon!
21. My goodness, some people are extremely starved for attention, kind of embarrassing.
22. Realistically Nederland returns 8 off and 6 def, Nederland loses 3 from offense, both rb's platooned.  They lose Bill, Richard, and Benj/Nelson (rb's).  They also lose a senior receiver, but the receivers platooned as well and the stable is pretty full with Shaw,Barrow, Kimler. They lose a little more on defense with Carr, Delord, Butler, Broussard, Hopkins, and the tackle that played quite a bit as well, forgot his name, but very good.  Hopkins played most of the games he was healthy for, so I would call him a starter lost on defense.
23. Check again Mel Kyper, they are 13 while LCM is 10, change the batteries in your calculator... wait, let me mispell a couple of words then you can rag me over that like the rest of the English majors on this board.  Maybe you were watching Longhorn volleyball while you posted and got a little distracted, understandable.
24. I just saw Nederland slap Central ALL OVER THE FIELD, that has a little to do with my rankings.  Once we SLAP LCM around, I may switch em up, that's just my impressions at this point.  I don't have time to get my BCS computer out AGGIE, my bad.
25. Here, I'm from Nederland, here's our poll BH Ned Livingston Vidor PNG GCM Crosby Dayton Ozen LCM Galena Park CE King Central Baytown Lee North Forest Lumberton
