IMO... it looks worse than it is.  By all means the pressure is on for Hemphill to win and get in, but they did catch Woodville and Warren first two games of each round.  Without the slip up against Corrigan, they would be sitting in much better shape.  Hopefully that lost doesn't cost em and they handle their business to get in.

Hemphill wins out (Newton, Kirbyville and Corrigan) they can get in.  Just need Woodville and Warren to win the games they are supposed to win.

I wouldn't say virtually eliminated.... they can win all three of those games.

Hemphill has cancelled their tournament for this weekend.

After Week 1 of scrimmages (and I know they are just scrimmages), Hemphill was up on WS 11-1 after 5 when they pulled starters (without basketball players which includes Twine), and I couldn't even tell you what the score was after 4 when they pulled starters vs. Colmesneil..... I know, I know.... basketball players aren't out.  They aren't for Hemphill either.

Hickman got MVP in the tougher district they were in last year. Don't doubt him on that. The two injuries are improving greatly. One is 100% going to be back for the season and the other is about 85% right now.They suffered the same injury to different arms. I can respect the disagreements and all of the replies are valid. It should be an interesting run. Anything can happen with tho rivalry. And yes Woodville graduated five, that's true. But you also must consider that only two got any substantial playing time. They lost two starters. Both of which have been filled by good players. They return all but one on the infield, and two of three in the outfield(even though, IMO, the replacement is better than the one from last year). Their WHOLE pitching staff is back. Should be great. Anything can happen with these two teams.

Let's clarify... Hickman won what, "Defensive MVP?"  Because the MVP of the district was the kid from CH, and Twine was the Offensive MVP.  Twine will be the District MVP....

Any news on a list of applicants?

Have to agree 100%... coached them both, and they are both great kids.... but do not doubt Chevoski's physicality.
