I would love for La Porte or any other team that plays Katy to come out punch them in the mouth first. You cannot play scared against them. They are like any other bully, you cannot run for them. Your shoulder pads and helmets are just like theirs. You have to use them in the way that they are intended. I am not going to say that this is going to guarantee you a victory but you will garner their respect. Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth and Katy has not been hit this year. Games like this is why you play football. Defy the odds and play your hearts out on Saturday.

Ozen, please represent the city of Beaumont well because Central and West Brook are playing like junior high schoolers. Anything over six turnovers combined is lttle league football at best.

Congratulations to all the teams who had successful seasons last year and I wish you all the best this year. My only advice to all you trash talkers is act like you been their. When you are good they know who you are and they respect it. You knew Alex Durley's football teams, James Gamble's basketball teams, Fred Williams basketball teams, WOS Dan Hook's football teams and so many others. They won and they won big. They did it with class. They did not have to beat their own chest. They went out and earned their respect. I pray that all you young men work hard in the classroom and on the field and take what the good Lord has destined for you.

Soulja, I was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas and currently reside in Katy. Your comments are some of the most ignorant statements that I have ever heard. I guees the kids from Central deserve a coach who plays with 10 men on the field because you are not in the business of competing with anyone. God please bless our kids.

Sgt. Rey, I would first like to thank you for your service to our great country. Secondly, I appreciate you for telling like it is as to what these coaches and kids have to put up with at WB. I feel sorry the people who pay school taxes and have to put up with this sorry bunch of characters who run this district.

I have to agree with you. Nobody has answered my question on how can you compete in 5a Region III without a fieldhouse? I wish some of these so called know it alls could look at these  kids in the eye who have busted their tail all year and tell them how this fair and ethical that they are not given atleast the basic needs to compete in footbal. It is not fair if this were to happen at Central or Ozen. All these kids deserve the best that we can possibly give them in regrads to their education and whatever school activity they choose to do. These kids are our future. I commend all the players and coaches at WB on a good season. You young men represented your families, community and school in a tremendous fashion even though you were dealt a unfair hand. You were more of a man than some of the hypocrites on this board. May God bless you and all the other kids in Southeast Texas who have given their all and left everything on the football field this year. Thank you for a great football season.

My heart goes out to these kids. I know life is not fair but as adults our kids deserve better than this. Kids are kids.  I dont care if you are black, brown, white, yellow or green. I dont care if you live in Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange, Vidor, Nederland or Port Neches. Our kids deserve better than this. How can you compete in Region III in 5A wtih no fieldhouse? It just is not acceptable. If you were paying taxes and your kid had to attend WB and he played football and had to deal with this situation. You have every right to be upset. If this went on at Ozen, Vidor, Memorial, Nederland or Central I would be saying the same thing and feel the same way. Whoever caused this situation or is responsible for this neeeds to be terminated immediately.

Why is it so hard to admit the kids at WB are getting screwed because of incompetence from the leaders in BISD. These same guys who are talking all this junk about WB if this was happening at Central or Ozen they lips would be poked out and mad as hell.

I feel sorry for the kids and the parents who have to put up with this crap at BISD. What's next no money for helmets or shoulder pads at WB. Just ask them to drop the football program at this point.

I feel sorry for the kids. They lose a quality coach and have no chance to compete because one of the sorriest school districts that I have ever seen. Between all that building at Ozen can you please build a fieldhouse for your 5A football program.

I agree with you SFA. However, they dont even put up a fight. I mean they take those butt whippings like a champ. At what point do you as a player, team and coaching staff get tired of getting your behinds handed to you? They are getting drilled by 25 and 30 points. Katy wont get tested until the third or fourth round of the playoffs. I doubt if a team in their district scores over 14 points on them. If you are scared and dont want to compete why do you even play football? I dont understand this.

This weekend I got a chance to checkout Katy vs. Seven Lakes. Everybody knows that Katy is the real deal. That offensive line is amazing. Put any back behind those guys and he is going to have a field day. What disappointed me is how some teams dont even try to compete. They are in a fight and they are not even trying to punch back. I know that you might be outmatched but stand up and play your butt off on evey play until the whistle blows. If you get beat that is fine atleast you left it all on the field. I hate to see a kid or a team cower down in fear. If a team or your opponent senses you are fearful or that you will not compete they will never respect you. I truly don't blame the kids. I blame the parents. It makes me wonder, what are we teaching our young men?

The spread offense is a joke to me. I am probably in the minority in this way of thinking. I believe you should be balance on offense. You should be able to run the ball and be able to get the ball downfield in the pass game. However, the game is won in the trenches. When my offensive tackle is in a two point stance for the majority of the game and my offensive line spends majority of the time on it's heel pass blocking that's when I have problem. It's 3rd and 2 and you have four wide receivers on the field and you pass the ball. That is a problem. When you have a lead and you are trying to run the clock and you are still passing the rock because you cannot run it. That is a problem. Football is meant to be a physical that is why you have pads and a helmet on. The spread is a gimmick like the run and shoot. When it meets a good defense it will always fail. Katy beat the hell out of North Shore's spread offense which includes speed and plenty of talent. Another example is how LSU broke out their belt and beat Oregon back to the West Coast. 

My next question is why do every school have seven man sled and dont use it? I am starting to think that some high school coaches use it as football decorations.

First and foremost I hate the spread offense. Most teams that I see run this offense put their best athlete at Quarterback and basically let him free style and see if he can make things happen with his feet and his arm. You will see a lot passes to the backs in the flat, short passes, wide receiver screens and roll out passes. My biggest problem with this offense is it has diminished the play of the offensive line. Show me a championship team and I will show a dominant offensive line. It pains me to see a big finese offensive line. What is the use of being 300lbs and friendly on the offensive line? I went to a camp out here in Houston and they had several kids who were juniors and seniors in high school who could not even get in a good three point stance who were offensive lineman. They had kids in middle school who had better a football stance.  I still feel like football is about me being able to explode off the ball while staying low delivering a good punch while moving my feet and enforcing my will on my opponent and making him like it. Now, teams would rather throw the ball for three yards than run it.

All I ask from you real Memorial fans is to prove the points  I made wrong. Go ask a North Shore coach, fan or player if they are worried about you. Please ask a Katy fan or Pearland fan if they are worried about you. I will just enjoy you self exploding once again. You cannot say we will beat North Shore or anyone else that is relevant without choking. Craig Stump is your father and David Aymond wants a DNA test because he thinks he might be the father also. They might as well put a WB logo on the field and retire Bruce Reyes jersey in Port Arthur. Sgt Rey please explain owned to the Titans.

If speaking the truth makes me a hater than that is what I am. You can continue to drink the kool-aid if you want that some these coaches and administrators want to pass onto you. However, there is plenty of talent in Southeast Texas and there are some schools and coaches that dont know what to do with it and who suffers, the kids. They are some good coaches out there ;however, they are some who are just collecting a paycheck. You know it and I know it. Come Thanksgiving 95% of the Golden Triangle teams will be at home. Some because they faced better teams others because 11 to 12 weeks in the season they still dont know what to do with the talent they have. Southeast Texas needs to expect more because the talent and support is there. PN-G is a perfect example of good coaching, community support and kids who leave it all on the field. Expect more. You are better than this. I go to a lot of Katy games and what tees me off is that some these teams and coaches are whipped when they get off the bus. They would concede a hundred points put on them if Katy would not call off the dogs. 

I hate to here when any kid gets hurt but that is why football is  a team sport. When one person goes down another must fill in. That is the world we live in. As for Ozen you have to get tired of being sick and tired. You might not have the facilities, talent  or the coaching that some of the other teams have but you can make sure out work and out hit your opponent. Play fast and physical from the start till the finish. Leave nothing on that field. Dont fear the guy or the team on the other side, fear the thought of not putting up the good fight and having a teammate question your effort. If you do that you are going to win a lot of battles that you have been losing. As far these guys on this thread who is feeling all this compassion for you believe me if they can put half a hundred on you they will and laugh about it injure players or not. 

Let me get serious for a moment. Memorial has the talent do some damage in Region III. They have talent with size  and speed ;however, they are small minded thinkers. They have their chest poked out because they beat Central and Ozen. Those teams are a combined 0-4 record. Now the Titans have their sights on a rebuilding WB team. They covet that beaumont bowl trophy more than WB. If you ask Coach Stump he will probably lend it to you, it is not worth a dollar burger that you get at McDonalds. You dont here the Titans talking about beating North Shore and winning the district and doing something in the playoffs. This exactly why North Shore or Katy or any the big boys dont respect you. North Shore goes into the season knowing they are going to roll you and anybody else in that district and they will beat you twice on Sunday if needs be. Memorial is a schedule filler a non factor. Dont get mad because you have plenty of company. Please dont worry about Katy because we are built to play until late November and the week before Christmas.  I want you to enjoy that beaumont bowl trophy this year and if you are good boys and girls probablyUncle Stephen Jackson and Uncle Kendrick Perkins will throw you a banquet and have old Bob West be the special guest speaker

West Orange Stark should not comment on anything regarding school districts with their unacceptable rating from the TEA. You are definitely living in the past and the future looks bleak. You will still beat the little sisters of the poor. Buy you will never be what used to be. You are the football version of Evander Holyfield. You are still fighting but you are so done. I will leave with this the next time you see a 3A semi-final or state championship game. President Obama, Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck will be having a beer and cigar together. Now wait for it or go beat Hamshire Fannett or something. 

I hear those Titan fans chirping about beating Ozen and Central and talking about finally giving WB a whipping that they have been promising for years. It seems you Port Arthur fans are more interested in being Gold Triangle Champs than Region III Champs and playing for somthing that means something. You not fooling anybody. You are just barking. All bark no bite. Why dont you ride along with West Brook to Katy next week and after we get finish with them you come get some. Believe you dont want no part of that big boy football. We will take it easy on you we will let you know the play and the snap count and you still wont stop it. Bring all that speed and you will look like you are stuck in mud. Katy is willing to welcome you into the big boy club. Come and see us Pamela or just maybe we will come see you in the playoffs. If we do see you in the playoffs be sure to be ready turn that equipment that same night because you will be done for 2011-2012 season.
