When I played Rec back in 03 our coach made us work on possession when the score was getting out of hand. If a bunch of 12 year olds can play posession soccer I know that a HS Varsity team CAN and SHOULD play keep away before you get to 15 goals. If you get to 10 and continue to score, there is somthing wrong there... Oh well. Gratz to Lumberton on the win AND another D-Championship and Gratz to WOS for scoring!

I thought I answered your question. The refs were letting them play. No problem with putting a little hair on your opponents chest.

Sounds like a great game. I loved playing against LC-M.. Both teams ALWAYS played 110%!! These are the games I miss the most

schools is ok, not that big, only about 500 ppl.  but playing soccer is amazing... there is an insane difference in game speed and knowledge but its prob the funnest i have ever had playing.  everyone plays everyday and we have tuesday -thursday morning weight training.  you should still come check it out.

what school are you talking about with only 500 people, silsbee has 800+.

and joseph E. may have been talented but everyone hated him so we wouldnt communicate well. ricky was cool but we cant replace him so now we suck :'(

i wish i could watch this game. Nederland is a good team that even embarassed vidor but i say LC-M takes it and wins it in overtime they step up to their competion real well

Nederland embarrassed Vidor? Am I missing something? I know Vidor didn't play well at all, but generally a 2-1 scoreline isn't embarrassment... Someone correct me if I'm wrong though...

I dont think Vidor played well at all either, but Nederland didnt show me that much. So, I wouldnt say Vidor was embarrassed, lol.

I feel like some of these polls are phrased as loaded questions!  It's obvious that "." is the logical choice, but as the question is worded, it makes it seem as if "." is the best answer.

Thanks for the backing Reid.  Everyone from silsbee will agree that Ricky (our AMAZING goalie) was a huge loss, but hardly any of them will agree that i was a loss??? iunno why... but silsbee lost alot of talent, I think 5 starting seniors, and with no one really to replace them, left them hurting pretty bad.  there is a small core of players that i imagine are the ones producing what results have come up lately and all of them will be back next year! 

P.S. silbee might be not good this year but next year...

Your in denial. Joseph was the best on the Silsbee team last season. If you had him games WOULD be closer. Plus, ya'lls keeper last season was AMAZING!! Those two were a HUGE loss.

Vidor 7-0 Silsbee.... Joseph E. kept silsbee in alot of games, since he graduated its like they fell apart.

I heard that one of Vidor's girls got a pretty bad head injury last night. Any word on how she is doing?

I talked to one of the Players and they said she is alright. Had a cut on her face, head, somewhere and got eleven stiches last night.

If Vidor couldnt take advantage on one of the 50 corners they had in the last 2 minutes they were not destined to win.... Great game Nederland... Didnt seem as good as last season... Kinda looked like they were lacking leadership... Almost NOONE talks on the fields anymore... strange.

In the past Vidor would just buckle in the PNG and Nederland game because we had the mindset that we couldnt beat the Mid County teams. Watsons last year here (05-06) we lost that mindset and played w/ them both then crushed Nederland at our house. Then last year we proved that the "its Nederland/PNG we might as well not show up, were going to lose" mindset had been completely forgotten, beating them both at home. I say that Vidor doesnt care about the name anymore and shows up like its just another team. Vidor 3-1... IF TRAVIS AND TIMMY BRING THEIR A GAME... If they get shut down Nederland 2-1 in OT.

Amazing game. I though LCM was TOO focused on keeping possession instead of scoring. GREAT shot by Leger!! It stunned me AND all the "has been" Vidor players I was sitting with!  What did I say about Travis!?!? That he WILL and DID step up!! Hes been on a chain the last couple years and hes finaly been let loose! Way to go Pirates, keep it up!!

Im going to come to this game as well!! Last time LCM beat us was my soph. year! Hopefully Vidor can keep the streak alive! Vidor 3-2

If Travis can produce that many goals on teams like WOS, HJ, and Ozen im sure that he will hold his own against some of the stronger teams. Not to mention Tim, Glover, and Ortega can all score at any given time as well. If teams pay extra attention to Travis just know that some of the before mentioned players can and will step up. Vidors offense is great but there defense does scare me... LOL. right now it doesnt matter HOW their D plays as long as they outscore their opponents =]

Defense... didnt see them move too much... but im sure they were ready.. 

The score could be 1-0...2-1 or 100-99 but I say Nederland wins by one goal.

My reason is.... I think Nederland is a better team this season. Its MY opinion, dont get upset and yell at me too.  ;D

I'm thinking Central may not be as good as they were last year or what we think they are. I also think that Nederland is going to win district, with Lumberton in second, and Vidor and PNG fighting it out for third, and LCM is going to upset somebody.

Its like you wrote down what I was thinking ha. Im going to say Vidor takes 3rd and gets into the playoffs. Vidor, in my opinion, is a two man show. But, its a very good show =]. Chemistry is there since they have been playing together for a long time. And if there anything like last years team, there only going to get stronger as the season draws closer to an end. Central... not impressing me as of yet, there team last year set the bar and they havent reached it yet. I dont know whats up w/ Lumberton, they played GREAT ball last year AND lost almost no one. Trying to decide if Lumberton isnt playing as well as last year or if everyone else just caught back up. But, for the district champs... Im going to say Nederland.... They are the BEST team in the AREA (SETX) and yes, over you Kelly! LC-M is going to upset one of the 4runners for the last 2 spots of the playoffs... either central, lumberton, vidor, or png... I dont see them beating Nederland...

If its the same team we played last year, which it should be, i'll say Lumberton by a few... If Lumberton comes out and plays like they did against PA then Vidor has a chance. This Vidor team is sneaky, I know in the Alumni game they converted a couple of great goals when I least expected it. Either way it should be a great game!

School players... A few of the alumni were also football players so our group is kinda rough... When we had Watson as our coach if you didnt get called for a foul on a 50/50 ball you wearnt trying hard enough. ha. Good Luck to the Vidor team this year. I hope the injuries arnt serious!

alumni looked pretty good. the guy wearing the lon morris shirt wrecked at forward.... vidors team could use some improvement, i only saw 3, maybe 4 key players.

He played Center Mid. But he is the best player to come out of Vidor in a long time, if not ever... His name is James Medley C/O 2006.
