Hats off to the Pirates! What a game for 3 Qtrs. They need to play like that the rest of the season and who knows. Defense was very good! #72 for the Pirates was a WILD MAN on defense. Nice article, glad to see 2 teams respect each other as i believe these 2 teams do. No trash talking here just hard nose football. It is always a hard hitting game. The Pirates are a little undermaned for this one but they will play with all they have. The Pirates last year made this a great game to watch let's hope this game will be a good one also. I don't think so but you maybe right. Would the area back them if they went 5-5,6-4 I don't think so. If you had SOME local kids on the team your LOCAL support would be there. Lets not forget about band support and so on. If Lamar has a team with NO LOCAL kids playing and a LOCAL high school is playing the same day I'm going to watch the LOCAL teams play and so will alot of other LOCAL people. This has been a problem in the past I hope we do not repeat history. If Lamar has LOCAL players on there team I will be there supporting them.

This should be a very good game. If the Bear defense will show up they have a shot. 0-2 in district will just about turn out the lights for the Bears. This game will come down to turnovers and who wants it the most.
