I think you are right, but I can dream...

Newcastle, I know your wife and your father-in-law.  I'd be careful this week because you know that bloodline will take you out in a heartbeat!!  Hope y'all will be able to make the game after practice.  If not, listen in here at SETXSPORTS.

    Im not scared!!!
  2. I'm sure the couch is in my near future!  I will state once again that she will more than likely have the last word on this, but.....I'm having one hell of a good time right now!!!  Heck, she even said that she wanted to go the Newton parade tonight and that I should wear some stripes up there.  This is the most fun we have had smack talking each other about sports EVER!!!  Gotta love Texas high school football.

    BEAT NEWTON!!!

    BLACK AND WHITE!!!
  3. Grandview class of '91 married a Newton Girl class of '94...I have coached in Orange County for the past 10 years and have had to listen to Newton football stories for the entire time I have known my wife.  On a personal note, Curtis Barbay setup the interview with Dan Hooks for my first coaching job, so I have been a fan of Newton for some time now.......but it will end for this week!!!  Newton is more than likely going to win this game, but if the football gods will give me this one chance to serve some freshly baked Crow Pie to my wife, all will be right with the world!!!

  4. John Davis - BC, Out of coaching, now working at Exxon Mobile
Sergio Hernandez - Livingston, has been offered the Houston Scarborough job...
Don Sandell - PNG, Out of coaching, has gone into administration for PNGISD

I know that the PNG opening has created the most buzz.  Don Sandell is regarded as one the best in the area (by Coaches and Refs) and will be missed.  Sergio Hernandez is young, energetic and extremely knowledgeable and left Livingston better than he found it.  He will be a coach to watch wherever he ends up.  John Davis has kept the BC program alive PERIOD.  He kept a full squad on the field for a season that most would have given up on (that is a comment made by all coaches at the district meeting).

  5. oh boy...I will say this dmeat...everyday I ask myself about how much I do or don't know about soccer, seriously, especially during soccer season...

as far as the ref comment, please tell me that you don't ref high school boys games and please tell me that you have never called one of my games...if you have that opinion going into a game and state it on a public message board your professionalism would be a subject that I would bring up to Kerry Franks, Mike Stasnios, and Tim McCurley.
