  3. Two of the top teams in 22-4A face each other tonight as the Silsbee Tigers travel to Orange to take on the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears. Brad Jeffcoat's Bears, 16-10 on the season, improved to 2-0 in district play last night with a 56-40 win over Orangefield. Meanwhile, Joe Sigler's Tigers, 15-8 on the season, also improved to 2-0 with a 118-19 win over Hamshire-Fannett last night. 4. A committee of students, alumni and other leaders from both schools will be formed to come up with a new name for the merged high school, subject to BOM approval.
  5. Hudson wins 68-59
  6. 6A doesn't do DI and DII splits to start the season. They determine that by the enrollment of the Top 4 finishers. But if that is the new district, Atasocita would be DI if they make the playoffs as they would be the largest school in the district.
  7. So would the UIL. Now that the merger is a reality, I could see UIL shooting Sterling down into the Pasadena/La Porte/Deer Park district.
